Positives:
- Aaron Rodgers started to trust his receivers and made some incredibly tough throws during the drive to put them up 10-0. They went back to relying on their RHYTHM OFFENSE.
- The team learned what it means to fight for a win. They need to do this week in and week out.
- Brad Jones. What a pleasant surprise! We knew he could play, but 7 tackles, 1 for a loss?? Very solid performance for a rookie starting his first game!
- Barnett is back in form, and it is lovely to see. I'll try not to be too smug about this, seeing as I defended him throughout the injury and recovery in the face of all of the "trade Barnett!" talk.
- Fans are no longer doom and gloom

Negatives:
- Offense is still trying to click. They found a rhythm a few times but it needs to be there more often than not.
- Punt coverage unit still makes me leery.
- McCarthy is driving me absolutely nuts with his 2nd and forever run plays. It's not fooling anyone, Mike. Two medium length passes that our offense is designed for would yield a first down, yet you seem to forfeit the series.
- Speaking of playcalling, we need more play action. Maybe Mike McCarthy thinks Rodgers doesn't have time for it, but the PA CREATES time if used properly.
- Fans are talking playoffs a week after saying "fire everyone!" People need to chill out a bit. This manic depressive act is wearing thin. One week at a time.

I saw quite a bit of play action. Several times Rodgers offered it and then took it back. I don't think they could have used it a whole lot more than they did or the defense would just start to ignore it. I think using PA and then get away from it and then go back to it is the best way for it to work.

I agree about the fans. I spoke up for the defense all week long. After 8 games people were talking about getting rid of the 3-4. I felt going into this year we would need to start out more or less like NO scoring points and covering the D's back until they got their wings under them. In the losses we didn't do that between poor first halves and lousy field position resulting from poor ST's play they were putting the burden to win too much on those guys to early.

I enliken this to last year when McCarthy said we need for all the phases to step up and help Rodgers out and not put too much on his back that first year. All they did was put him in a position where he had to lead highly improbable comebacks the length of the field over and over.

This year, in reverse, our defense repeatedly had to go out there and try to stop the bleeding with poor field position over and over. Not exactly the recipe for success being a new defense that was encountering completely new schemes each week and trying to figure it out.

Also completey opposite of a team like the Saints whose defense will suck far worse than ours and they just go out there and hammer enough points to win.

Hopefully, Capers see's what he can do with Woodson and that utilizing him wisely is like having twelve guys on the field. I think how they use him from here on out will have a lot to do with the quality of play we see out of the defense.

Positives:
1. Won a game against a good quality opponent.
2. Play calling on offense was alot better. back to quick passes which is always successful for this team.
3. Defense was outstanding. They came out with an attitude, wish the offense would have as well.
4. Made big plays on both sides of the ball when they needed to.

Negatives.
1. 12 penalties for 100 yards. If it was not for the cowboys also killing themselvs with penalties it would not have gone the same way. (battle between 2 terribily coached teams)
2. I have no confidence that the offense, or MM will stick with the quick passes even though it works. Hey if he didn't do it after the Packers went 13-3 and one win away from a superbowl, what makes you think he will do it after only one game of success with it?

I was going to mention the same thing about Ryan Grant and fumbles. The last time I recalled he fumbled was in the Bengals game and according to NFL.com, that's the only one!

Positives:
Matthews - dude can just BALL...ridiculous he was making Flozell Adams' day horrible, including Romo's..

Woodson - Speaking of dudes that can BALL....between him and Matthews the most consistant of the D so far this season

Brad Jones - Had a really good first game, really solid, hopefully he can get better for the future

Jenkins-Jolly - Ate up blockers well and liked how they get their hands up to knock down passes when they cant get to the QB

Rodgers - Liked how he did not force anything on that game really, made some tough throws but played good overall

Negatives

- The injury to Colledge, good thing its not serious

- The Challenges McCarthy did especially the one of the spot/TD for Jordy, that was a waste of a challenge

- The sacks are an obvious

- Penalties, Penalties, Penalties, enough said

If the sacks are a problem, why is it a good thing that Colledge's injury isnt serious? He contributes his great ammount of them! I better watch my mouth though...the man's wife might come after me.

speaking of no injuries..which is very awesome, every time i see Rodgers go down i keep thinking "fuck. he's going to break soon."

i'm really curious to find out how he's really doing.

I agree with Twinkiegorilla.

I thought it was an overall good game, the sacks didn't seem too bad to me. I loved the way our defense finally stepped up, it seems like the last game they played this well was week 1. Charles Woodson is the man.

A. Negative:
I still worry some about what will happen when you don't have idiotic coaching on the other side. Barber gashes the Packers in the opening possession more than once, then disappears to, what, 7 carries in the game? And I don't think the OL problems are solved yet.

B. Positive:
This is the team I was hoping for all year. Aggressive, impose-your-will-on-the-other-team football. The kind that plays from strength rather than tries to finesse and hide its weakness. The kind that, in the long run, won't depend on mistakes by the other side or its coaching for its victory.
And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

Honestly, I wonder whether Colledge was benched due to sloppiness and they just told the reporters that it was an injury šŸ˜‰

Positives
- Rodgers used his feet and was very accurate the 2nd half.
- Receivers were able to draw huge penalties (Boys backfield couldn't keep up)
- Grant played very well.
- Offensive line played well (the numbers of sacks and times hit were down this game). Dallas has a couple studs on D...to hold them to 2 sacks is actually great.
- Where ever the ball is when the opposing team has possession, there is Clay "Golden Locks" Matthews. Dude is amazing.
- Woodson is a beast on pass and run coverage.
-We beat a 6-2 division leader.

Negatives
- Penalties.
-Tramon was getting beat....A LOT.
