Here's some photo's from the game guys. I was sitting up higher then I have in the past and the camera I take to sporting events doesn't have the best zoom, but it's better then nothing. Comments below.
Beautiful Lambeau Field covered in case of rain before game day.
I'm still in shock about this one. They actually allowed us to briefly tour the locker room this time!! WOW! ;-)
Warm up good guys!! You're going to need it!!
I LOVED this flag. It was incredible.
Greg Jennings is GOD! lol.
Beginning of 15 play mega-uber-drive.
Let's go Rodger's!!
The crowd comes to life as the sun sets.
Interception anyone?
Victory formation!!
Yeeeeah, be happy guys! You played well.
Ahman Green and Nick Barnett's trucks are absolutely INSANE. Must be nice to be mega rich.
My thoughts from the game:
A GREAT game! It was funny because some brave Cowboys fans were sitting right beside my girl friend and I and I don't think I heard a word from them all day. I give them credit for coming and wearing their teams jerseys, but it was still funny.
During the 1st half, the crowd was relatively flat and life less. I was a bit disappointed. Definitely not a whole lot of "Lambeau Mystique." However, as the 2nd half began and the sun started to set the energy really picked up. I'm not sure if it was due to people getting drunk, it getting dark and the stadium lights coming on (king of a prime time feel), or the scoring, but the electricity definitely picked up. By late 3rd quarter into the 4th quarter Lambeau was ROCKING! It was incredible.
In the first half, I remember at least 1-2 plays where Rodger's was holding onto the ball for a long time and THREE receivers were at least 20+ yards down the field, with only 1 check down available. As the play was over I saw our WR's running back towards the huddle and several of us were like, "whaaaaat??." Didn't notice much of that later in the game though. But multiple times in the 1st half many of us in the stands were thinking "GET RID OF THE DAMN BALL!!"
Obviously, the defense was pretty much dominating. The players that stuck out to me were Matthews, Woodson, Barnett, Jolly, and Jenkins. The defense seemed to feed off these guys. Also, at times, Matthews looked to be the leader of the defense. I know that he's not "technically," but several times he looked to be directing traffic. It was very encouraging. Hawk had a few nice hits. I saw Bush out on the field much more then I would like. Overall, we controlled Dallas' screen and running game which was very impressive. It seemed to me as if Dom Capers finally showed what he is capable in this game. Players seemed to be in the perfect position to make plays and they did just that. I give more credit to the Defense and Capers then I do to McCarthy, but I'm sure some will disagree. I can't honestly say that Kampman was missed a whole lot on the field, but things always seem a bit different watching a game live and on TV.
I'll try to remember some of the other thoughts I had during the game and post them later. But it's been a long day and this is all I can think of for now. Needless to say, things were very "Jolly" around Lambeau after this game. Live it up Packer fans, we deserve it!
