I really, really hate it when people come with 'he knows how to win'. That statement tells me nothing. Trent Dilfer knew how to win. Please raise your hands if you'd rather have Trent Dilfer than Aaron Rodgers.

Warren Moon went just over .500 (102-101) in his career and went .300 (3-7) in the play-offs. He's a HoF-er because he was a great player. The supporting cast just never got them far.

I'd rather have Rodgers on this team than Roethlisberger. Don't get me wrong, Big Ben is a good quarterback and he's doing a suprisingly good job of carrying the offense, but having that Steelers defense sure does help.

I'd rather have Rodgers than Big Ben as well. I think this is the first year we can honestly say Big Ben is having an elite year. His first SB, he was in the right place at the right time. The 2nd SB he played a better game, but the opposing QB played an even better game except one crucial play that completely turned the game around.

'Tis a team game. Rodgers has gone above and beyond what ANY of us expected him to do, with the possible exception of Cal2GreenBay (where is that guy?). I don't think any of us saw him doing this well back in '05 when he was drafted.

We had a porous D last year that lost us a lot of games. This year, our OL is the 2nd worst in the NFL and it's amazing Rodgers has a 100+ rating with this horrid OL.

And yes, Warren Moon deserved being in the Hall. Had he played in the NFL since the beginning (let's face it, at the time, the NFL was weary of black QBs), Brett Favre may have to play a few more years to catch Warren Moon's records and Peyton Manning would die before he catches Moon's records.

I don't like the phrase "he knows how to win," but there are definitely some players who perform in the clutch and are able to rally their teammates around them, and others who are not so good at that.

Warren Moon was mostly on bad teams, but he was not a choker by any means. And of course Roethlisberger benefits from playing on a team with one of the better defenses in the league, but his ability to extend plays and perform in the clutch is inspiring for his teammates, even if it doesn't show up on the stat sheets. I think Rodgers is showing that same kind of leadership for our team right now, but he's just getting started.

He would "absolutely" take Roethlisberger over Rodgers? Why exactly?

Oh, right, because "he just knows how to win."

It's those intangibles, dontchaknow.

I gave ya a +1 NON because you made a good point all he does is win.

btw i don't think much of any stats right now for the packers because we have had 4 byes already this year. Now after we play the likes of the Cowboys, Steelers and Ravens defenses and he has those stats ill be impressed.

As far as being offensive player of the month i give him credit for winning that and only playing 1 pro team.

Rodgers doesn't create the schedule, you know.
You can look at it that way, or you can say Rodgers has produced even though he's getting sacked more than any other QB in the league.

"nerdmann" wrote:

he hasn't been sacked that much more 😛 like i said if he can put up those numbers in dec i will be impressed, but im willing to put money on that he won't.

Bring the sack numbers, bitch.

I brought the sack numbers Biotch 😛 look in the thread about the o-line
Rodgers 25 times
Cassell 24 times
and i believe Big Ben 22 times I'm at work on a very slow connection but its something like that for big ben and Favre i believe is 18.
Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)

Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : sounds like Packers don't get good compensation, Jaire staying
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Nobody coming up with a keep, but at x amount
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Trade, cut or keep
dfosterf (16-Apr) : that from Jaire
dfosterf (16-Apr) : My guess is the Packers floated the concept of a reworked contract via his agent and agent got a f'
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : Yes, and that is why I think Rob worded it how he did. Rather than say "agent"
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Same laws apply. Agent must present such an offer to Jaire. Cannot accept or reject without presenting it
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : I'm thinking that is why Rob worded it how he did.
dfosterf (16-Apr) : The Packers can certainly still make the offer to the agent
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Laws of agency and definition of fiduciary responsibility
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Jaire is open to a reduced contract without Jaire's permission
dfosterf (16-Apr) : The agent would arguably violate the law if he were to tell the Packers
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : That someone ... likely the agent.
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : So, Jaire has not been offered nor rejected a pay reduction, but someone says he'd decline.
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : Demovksy says t was direct communication with someone familiar with Jaire’s line of thinking at that moment.
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : Demovsky just replied to me a bit ago. Jaire hasn't said it.
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Of course, that depends on the definition of "we"
dfosterf (16-Apr) : We have been told that they haven't because he wouldn't accept it. I submit we don't know that
dfosterf (16-Apr) : What is the downside in making a calculated reduced offer to Jaire?
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : Packers are receiving interest in Jaire Alexander but a trade is not imminent
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : Jalen Ramsey wants to be traded. He's never happy is he?
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : two 1sts in 2022 and two 2nd's in 2023 and 2024
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : Packers had fortunate last three drafts.
dfosterf (15-Apr) : I may have to move
dfosterf (15-Apr) : My wife just told the ancient Japanese sushi dude not enough rice under his fish
Zero2Cool (14-Apr) : I think a dozen is what I need
dfosterf (14-Apr) : Go fund me for this purpose just might work. A dozen nurses show up at 1265 to provide mental health assistance.
dfosterf (14-Apr) : Maybe send a crew of Angels to the Packers draft room on draft day.
Zero2Cool (14-Apr) : I am the Angel that gets visited.
dfosterf (14-Apr) : Visiting Angels has a pretty good reputation
Zero2Cool (14-Apr) : what
Martha Careful (14-Apr) : WINNING IT, not someone else losing it. The best victory though was re-uniting with his wife
Martha Careful (14-Apr) : The manner in which he won it was just amazing and wonderful. First blowing the lead then getting back, then blowing it. But ultimately
Zero2Cool (12-Apr) : I'm guessing since the thumb was broken, he wasn't feeling it.
dfosterf (10-Apr) : Looking for guidance. Not feeling the thumb.
Mucky Tundra (10-Apr) : If they knew about it or not
Mucky Tundra (10-Apr) : I don't recall that he did which is why I asked.
Zero2Cool (10-Apr) : Guessing they probably knew. Did he have cast or something on?
