We need to keep Barbre and Lang in the starting lineup. Give them a chance to shine. If they blow it, put Tausch and/or Clifton in.

on topic, very curious to see that Green is now the #2 back. Maybe he's just taking the #2's snaps to get him more practice.... ?

It's clear what the intention is - Green is going to split snaps with Grant as an RB.

This suggests that Jackson is still going to be the 3rd down back in blocking and maybe still as a pass catcher in the flats.

Exactly.

I was thinking about starting a thread on this but this fits just right.

What a great time to have Clifton, Tauscher and Green. Who would have EVER thought they would all be starting out over on the sidelines. But what a great way to cover the teams back in a big game like this.

Green is huge because he can come in and be that dump off go-to guy when Rodgers is pressured and he can pick up a blitz and actually knows what a real chip block is. With all the pressure the Vikes bring Green has that knack of actually making a screen pass work.

Taush and Cliffy can be right there if either young guy shows they can't hold up. I don't know many teams with backup tackles like that.

All of a sudden we have gone from one of the youngest teams in the NFl to this young/old team and having veterans like this waiting in the wings if needed is perfect going into the biggest game of the year.

If none of the three see the field that's ok because it probably means we just kicked the crap out of the Vikings.

Man I hope it's Lang and Barbre...especially Lang! I only want to see Clifton in a back up scenario.

It's going to be great to see Green out there in green and gold again! He'll show them how to do a screen, and didn't he have some ungodly percentage on 3rd or 4th and 1? I know, that was years ago in his prime, just fantasizing.

I think u may also see Green and BJack in the backfield on third down. You essentially have count em now
Jennings, Driver, Lee/Havner, J Fin, Green, Bjack
That is six potential recievers if The Vikes over comit to the blitz they will be succeptable to draws slants and screens at the same time.
I am therefor I think.

Tauscher and Clifton, and Lang and Barbre rotated at tackles. Will probably keep Vikings guessing whole week. Green ahead of Jackson now.

I am curious as to what put Green in front of Jackson? Is Jackson still possibly "injured"?

Maybe Jackson really is not as good as a 30+year old RB with bad knees?

Green's main job is to amp our RB position for this game. Anything after that is gravy.

Yuck I don't like the idea of rotation. The line needs to build chemistry and I think have our young guys of the future in is better than rotating old injured vets.

As far as Green goes, I can't really comment on that. Jackson has barely had a chance to show his skills this season and I Green I haven't seen play for years.
