So 6-1 Vikigns v. 4-2 Packers.

If we win, we're golden, 6-2 and 5-2, with a game in hand. We are basically tied for the division lead (plus equal head to head). But if we lose and its 7-1 and 4-3, the division title is likely done because they would have the head to head tie breaker and we would basically be behind 3 games.

What do you think gets a team in the playoffs as a wild card this year and who do you think wins the NFC North?

I would say:

10-6 for wild card (dallas, atl, chi, philly, seattle, sf, az all in hunt) - if we lose, we'd have to go 6-3 rest of the way, easily doable with our schedule)

11-5 for division (really between vikings and packers but vikings have a really hard schedule) - if we win, we'd have to go 6-3 rest of the way, easily doable with our schedule).

Conclusion, I do not think its a must win for the wildcard but a must win for the division. If we lose, it will suck but we are still very much alive for the playoffs considering our easy schedule.

But is anyone else really getting excited about the division title if we win this game. I really think the Vikings have a very hard schedule (Giants, Bears twice, @ Arizona, Cincy) and could end up at 11-5 or 10-6

It's a must-win for the division and a "must win or play much better than we are from here on out" for the wild card. I'd rather treat every game as a must-win. I'm not satisfied with mediocrity.

The Vikings currently hold virtually every tiebreaker over us, so I'd say this game approaches a must-win, at least if we hope to bring home the divisional crown. Barring a late-season collapse by the Vikings and Packers, the Bears are essentially out of contention already.

definitely a must win for us if we want a chance at a division title.

These are pretty much my sentiments. I believe that anything can happen in the NFL and that any team is prone to collapsing at any time. However this game is important if we want to gain confidence as a team and increase our chances of a division crown.

I think it's an almost must win for the division. If we lose, I feel like we'd have to run the table and finish 13-3 to realistically have a shot at the division crown. That would be very hard to do with some of the tough games we have left. I think the Vikings are going to finish somewhere at 11-5 or 12-4. The Bears looked awful today and have been regressing the last two weeks. However, with two games to play with Minnesota and one against us they are not out of it yet, though they definitely have to turn it around fast.

It's a must win. But I'd rather knock Favre out for the season than win.

I gave you a +1

I completely agree. The Packers need to win November 1st if they want to win the division. Baring a Viking collapse, Minnesota could take care of the division next week or at least put themselves in really good position.

Green Bay would then be playing for the wild card which I think they're capable of getting.

I don't know if I would drop it into the must win cat. Need to win want to win kill favre win. Its the 7th game with 9 to go a lot can happen it that time period.
The loss to the steelers show that the vikings and brett and succeptable to screwing the pooch.
I honestly feel that the Vikings are in for a very rough stretch of football.
I am therefor I think.

It's a must win solely based on the fact that it's against the Vikings.

Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : sounds like Packers don't get good compensation, Jaire staying
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Nobody coming up with a keep, but at x amount
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Trade, cut or keep
dfosterf (16-Apr) : that from Jaire
dfosterf (16-Apr) : My guess is the Packers floated the concept of a reworked contract via his agent and agent got a f'
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : Yes, and that is why I think Rob worded it how he did. Rather than say "agent"
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Same laws apply. Agent must present such an offer to Jaire. Cannot accept or reject without presenting it
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : I'm thinking that is why Rob worded it how he did.
dfosterf (16-Apr) : The Packers can certainly still make the offer to the agent
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Laws of agency and definition of fiduciary responsibility
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Jaire is open to a reduced contract without Jaire's permission
dfosterf (16-Apr) : The agent would arguably violate the law if he were to tell the Packers
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : That someone ... likely the agent.
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : So, Jaire has not been offered nor rejected a pay reduction, but someone says he'd decline.
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : Demovksy says t was direct communication with someone familiar with Jaire’s line of thinking at that moment.
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : Demovsky just replied to me a bit ago. Jaire hasn't said it.
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Of course, that depends on the definition of "we"
dfosterf (16-Apr) : We have been told that they haven't because he wouldn't accept it. I submit we don't know that
dfosterf (16-Apr) : What is the downside in making a calculated reduced offer to Jaire?
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : Packers are receiving interest in Jaire Alexander but a trade is not imminent
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : Jalen Ramsey wants to be traded. He's never happy is he?
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : two 1sts in 2022 and two 2nd's in 2023 and 2024

dfosterf (14-Apr) : Maybe send a crew of Angels to the Packers draft room on draft day.
Zero2Cool (14-Apr) : I am the Angel that gets visited.
dfosterf (14-Apr) : Visiting Angels has a pretty good reputation
Zero2Cool (14-Apr) : what
Martha Careful (14-Apr) : WINNING IT, not someone else losing it. The best victory though was re-uniting with his wife
Martha Careful (14-Apr) : The manner in which he won it was just amazing and wonderful. First blowing the lead then getting back, then blowing it. But ultimately

Mucky Tundra (10-Apr) : I don't recall that he did which is why I asked.
Zero2Cool (10-Apr) : Guessing they probably knew. Did he have cast or something on?
Mucky Tundra (10-Apr) : Did they know that at the time or was that something the realized afterwards?
Zero2Cool (9-Apr) : Van Ness played most of season with broken thumb

Zero2Cool (2-Apr) : WR who said he'd break Xavier Worthy 40 time...and ran slower than you
Mucky Tundra (2-Apr) : Who?
