Jason Wilde claimed on his pod cast on ESPN Milwaukee today that it was insurance for kick off responsibility, or something along those lines..

I would LOVE to see ahman back with the packers!! I think he is a great running back!And I would love to see him back in the green and gold!

Green Bay - One last tidbit on the Ahman Green story before calling it a night.

This is from our story, which was just posted:

According to two of Greens former Packer teammates, who wished to remain anonymous, Green told them there is a deal in place, that he had received a playbook and was headed to Lambeau Field to begin studying on Tuesday afternoon.

So what does Green telling his former teammates the deal is done mean? Likely something (especially the playbook part), but could be nothing.

Green could simply be jumping the gun on this one.

Reasonably strong gut feeling: Wynn is placed on injured reserve, Green "signs" Wednesday and practices.
