You know why Grant has 20 more carries in wins? Because we run the ball at the END of the game, in garbage time just like we did against the Lions. Before the fourth quarter when we practically had won the game Grant had under 20 carries--the garbage time put him over.

20+ carries for Grant, we win the game. Quit dodging the facts. Garbage time? Give me a break. The team KNOWS we are going to run, yet we get good production. Make up all the excuses you want.

Facts.
Are.
Facts.

20+ carries for Grant increase our chances of winning the game.

"Zero2Cool" wrote:

Kind of misleading. I agree that Grant or whichever RB needs to get his touches. But in many cases the reason they are getting 20+ is because we are winning.

Garbage time stats is crap though. Running against a team, that knows we are going to run is hard. If that is garbage, then all of Rodgers passing stats are garbage, because teams know we are passing.
The world needs ditch diggers too Danny!!!

lol 🙂 hey at least I post information instead of just saying crap. Even though it might diffuse my point a little bit.

I know winning isn't as simple at giving Grant 5 carries a quarter = win. My point. Before we oust Ryan Grant is this. Give the man a damn chance to succeed!

Running does this.
OL gets to HIT instead of get hit.
Offense eats clock, which in turn keeps your defense fresher.
It gives you another weapon for defenses to think about.

mm gets too freaked out when Grant gets 14 yards on 5-7 carries and quits. WHEN, now get this. mm is the one who said that the RB needs a plethora of carries in the ZBS. You give him the rock often early in the game and those 2, 3 yard carries become first down carries. Yet, we don't run much early?

ahman Green was one of the most violent physical backs in Green Bay history....and that collision running style has left him with nothing to give a team, IMO. One of my favorite players, but past his time at this moment.

How great of a story would it be if he came back and was amazing??? Not saying its gonna happen, but Ahman was always a packer, and if he works out well I say play him.

Once more the systemic nostalgia on this board rears its head. I think Ted Thompson should assemble a 2005 reunion team. Or whatever year fans on this board choose. Just to see how awesome it would be.

He's an an ex-player for our team. There's a reason for that. Kindly let the sleeping dog lie.

This.

Also, Green with that current o-line = Green injured, again.

The real problem (as much as I would enjoy an upgrade @ RB) is the shitty o=line. Bring in all the hot RBs you want, it won't fix the line.
