I'd say at a bare minimum he provides adequate depth. I think if the offensive line can fine it's 08 form (which was pretty meh) you'll see a more potent offense.

When I made my avatar, I was feeling the exact same way as the original poster.... Anything to improve the team is an upgrade (Wow that was John Madden-esque!)


Tausher is a guy that relies on his brain.

Barbre relies on his strength and athleticism.

If we mixed these two guys.... we would have a stud RT!

Tauscher on one good leg would still be better then Barbre!

I would agree with you in about 5 weeks... That is about when we will be able to determine how effective Tauscher has been. Before then, IF Tauscher starts, it will be tough to see what kind of shape he is in and how long he lasts...

Ha..this offense even with a horrific o line is at least somewhat decent. With a mediocre o line we could be very dangerous..

I have confidence in Tauscher.. some might be a bit worried that he didn't step in day one and light up practice.. he will need probably two weeks to get his legs under him and then start working his way onto the active roster for depth..

Say the Browns game, Barbre is struggling, I wouldn't be upset with Mark getting some reps unless he has a setback between here and there..

Goal would be to have him available for the Vikes if needed.

Tausch is a very valuable upgrade in both morale booster to those on the line right now with their starting jobs in jeopardy (Barbre) and if he was to be brought onto the field.

I would like to see some game experience against the Lions or Browns before they throw him in the Vikings game....if of course, he is ready for action.
