As you meditate upon the game consider the following stats for the season.

Aaron Rodgers
8th in the league in passer rating
5th in yards.
Some spiked balls caused his completion percentage to drop and he is 12th in the league.
Pass plays over 20 yards and over 40 yards he is tied for first in the league.
He is tied for 8th in TD passes.
Yards per attempt tied for 7th in the league.

Jennings is 4th in the league in receptions,
1st in receiving yards,
tied for 6th in the number of receiving 1st downs.

Kampmann is tied for second in the league in sacks. Jenkins is tied for 14th and AJ Hawk is tied for 17th.

Nick Collins and Charles Woodson are tied for 4th in the league in INT's. Bigby is tied for 11th.

Crosby is tied for 9th in scoring.

Offense
Overall the Packers have the 8th best Offense.

Tied for 2 in the turnover ratio at a plus 4.

7th best passing team

15th best rushing team.

The Defense is 27th in yards given up.

26th against the rush and 22nd against the pass.

25th in points allowed.

Yikes!!

Her is a stat to ponder.
Packers rushed the ball ONLY 21 times. Rodgers had 5 of those rushing attempts, so take him out of the equation.
Grant and Jackson rushed the football ONLY 16 times for 74 yards.
That is a 4.6 yard average, not too shabby!

MM claims each year to be committed to the run, yet he continually abandons the run like he did last night.
Not good Mike, not good!

Too true. I said last week that our best chance was in long drives to control the tempo of the game. "Run, run, run" I believe my direct quote was...

I think we can have a killer running game if we stick with it. As much as I hate the zone-blocking/cut-blocking thing, it works because it really beats up a defensive line and wears them out as the game progresses. In offenses that use it successfully, most of their ground yardage comes on long runs later in the game, because the d-linemen have been getting cheap-shotted for the first 2 or 3 quarters.

It simply doesn't work if you don't stick with it through the whole game.

I can't help but wonder if Grant is close to 100% yet. He just doesn't seem to have as much pop as he did last year.
Jackson was fighting for every yard.
If they just had some BLOCKING on the line, i think we could have some big gains. But they get met at the line and have to use all their power just to get a couple yards.

Yeah.

That reminded me of the Giant game last year.

But that was with a healthy Grant.

It shows one thing.. our oline can't handle speed along a solid defensive front.. disappointed I am in the growth of our third year interior lineman.

dfosterf (16-Apr) : Trade, cut or keep
dfosterf (16-Apr) : that from Jaire
dfosterf (16-Apr) : My guess is the Packers floated the concept of a reworked contract via his agent and agent got a f'
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : Yes, and that is why I think Rob worded it how he did. Rather than say "agent"
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Same laws apply. Agent must present such an offer to Jaire. Cannot accept or reject without presenting it
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : I'm thinking that is why Rob worded it how he did.
dfosterf (16-Apr) : The Packers can certainly still make the offer to the agent
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Laws of agency and definition of fiduciary responsibility
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Jaire is open to a reduced contract without Jaire's permission
dfosterf (16-Apr) : The agent would arguably violate the law if he were to tell the Packers
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : That someone ... likely the agent.
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : So, Jaire has not been offered nor rejected a pay reduction, but someone says he'd decline.
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : Demovksy says t was direct communication with someone familiar with Jaire’s line of thinking at that moment.
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : Demovsky just replied to me a bit ago. Jaire hasn't said it.
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Of course, that depends on the definition of "we"
dfosterf (16-Apr) : We have been told that they haven't because he wouldn't accept it. I submit we don't know that
dfosterf (16-Apr) : What is the downside in making a calculated reduced offer to Jaire?
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : Packers are receiving interest in Jaire Alexander but a trade is not imminent
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : Jalen Ramsey wants to be traded. He's never happy is he?
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : two 1sts in 2022 and two 2nd's in 2023 and 2024
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : Packers had fortunate last three drafts.

dfosterf (15-Apr) : My wife just told the ancient Japanese sushi dude not enough rice under his fish
Zero2Cool (14-Apr) : I think a dozen is what I need
dfosterf (14-Apr) : Go fund me for this purpose just might work. A dozen nurses show up at 1265 to provide mental health assistance.
dfosterf (14-Apr) : Maybe send a crew of Angels to the Packers draft room on draft day.
Zero2Cool (14-Apr) : I am the Angel that gets visited.
dfosterf (14-Apr) : Visiting Angels has a pretty good reputation
