He juked a guy last night! Did anyone see that? I almost came in my pants. I was watching the game with around twenty people and we all were flabbergasted when Grant actually got past a one-on-one tackle situation.

Seriously though, Grant looked pretty good last night. I still think we need a quick, flashy back to compliment Grants downhill running style but I'm a bit more optimistic about a run game going into the bye.

I don't understand how some want to blast the OL for our lack of protection, yet blast Grant for not gaining big yards. It is the same OL afterall.

I agree that the OL has had a problem and it should factor into our poor running game but watch other running backs in the NFL. They never want the play to be over, they don't want to go down. AP last night ran into his own blocker where a hole should have been, instead of run right into the line and go down, which is very Grant-esque, he looked to his left and bounced it out to gain 5 yards. Grant just doesn't seem like a guy that's going to make plays when he gets the ball in his hands, which I know isn't a fair knock because players that do that are very special. Grant's a good runner but I still don't think he's our answer at running back.

Bad offensive line or not, Grant goes down way to easy. He never fights for extra yards either. Driver fights, scratches, and claws for extra yards, Grant goes down when someone breaths on him.

I am going to disagree with this. Grant goes down way too quickly on the tackle. Sometimes it seems he is falling before he even gets to the Line of Scrimmage. I saw one play last night where someone got a hand on him while he was running downhill and I was amazed at how much he was slowed by the disruption. I want to see his legs moving more when tackled rather than falling over to get an extra yard.

I do admit that he had some good runs in the 4th quarter though.

Yea he never fights, never tries an extra move, doesn't stretch the ball out for extra yardage and he falls way too easily. I just can't believe that we only have him and Wynn at RB right now too, it's a disaster.

i think it was grant last nite who had a decent run going, saw a defender coming toward him & just ran out of bounds - i was pissed as hell!! nail the SOB & gain a few extra yards!!! other than that play, i thought he did better this game.

Grant looks to be athletic but he really is not. He does not have the body or strength to run over people. If you compare him Westbrook or even Ahman green who ran over people often were the real RB's. He does not have enough power throw of tackles or take hits.
