Here is some analysis:

-Our offensive line is garbage.
-MM does NOT hold the team accountable for mistakes. (penalties/drops)
-We have no pass rush
-James Campen should be fired. Now.
-All the Ted Thompson apologists seem to have disappeared tonight.

I'll tackle these, as I guess I'd be a "TT apologist"

1) Our o-line IS playing bad. Does this mean they have no talent? 4/5 of the o-line is the same one that finished the 2007 season really strong. All players have shown that they have the ability to play in this league against the big boys. Colledge was probably our best OL last year. Spitz has held his own - considered by many to be the most consistent G on our roster. It's not as if our starters are not talented - they are indeed talented.

I won't, however, even attempt to defend our (lack of) depth on the O-line. Two rookies, and a 2nd year player that was supposed to be our RT of the future, yet can't even be active for game days. That's a big problem, one that Ted Thompson was extremely naive to think wouldn't factor into our season. But it is not like the current group of starting players have consistently shown they can't play with the big boys; if anything they've shown flashes but are wildly inconsistent. Tough to fault Ted there for failing to field us an O-line.

Points 2-5) MM needs to get his act together. Again, "Penalties were a big negative".... REALLY? YOU THINK?! If they are such a negative .... fix them. Although, and this may be a big fault of Ted, hard to bench players when their back-ups are young and physically and mentally inexperienced.

Hard to bench Barbre when you're back-up at the position is not even good enough to be on the 45 game day roster above two other rookie OL. We may be the youngest team in the league again, but we also have the youngest back-ups in the league at an astonishing 22 years of age. Plenty of blame to go around for the unaccountability from the side of MM.

As for the pass rush... I'm not sure WTF happened tonight. We were BAD. That has to be on Capers and scheme, more so than Thompson.

Anyone who still is, at the very least, not considering that Ted Thompson be put on the hot seat needs to look at the W-L record under his tenure. It's not pretty. After all, despite his drafting and reloading the roster, this team (any team) will be known by their record. Once again, it's not pretty. I still think his plan is the right one, but I can't say with full belief at this point Ted Thompson has deserved to not be fired.

Perhaps I'll feel different after the sting of this loss fades, but I won't fault anyone for criticizing Ted Thompson anymore. The dude has earned it.

I have stood behind TT.
I will till the season is over. If the team doesn't turn it around during that time, i'm off his band wagon.

i just gotta say...when the hell do we say 'the players need to step up'?? it's their freakin job that they are being paid handsomely to do.
they need to do it!!

thompson & mccarthy & the rest of the coaching staff should answer the same damn question as well.

sick of excuses & not drafting quality players. why can't we spend some dinero on fa's??

i was perfectly capable of screaming at my tv last nite so WHY can't some of the coaches do the SAME thing on the sidelines? a serious ass chewin is what this team needs!!!

rant...over.

dfosterf (25-Jul) : It's my one day deal complaint dept. on shareholder meeting day
dfosterf (25-Jul) : Probably a homer access credential intimidation kinda thing
dfosterf (25-Jul) : Meathead "journalists" skip this, concentrating on operational revenue when convenient. They switch when net revenue is more favorable.
dfosterf (25-Jul) : Resulting in an actual drop of net revenue of 12.5%. She is from Minnesota. Just sayin'
dfosterf (25-Jul) : Any plans to hold Maureen Smith (CFO) accountable for a 95% drop in investment revenue?

dfosterf (25-Jul) : Did Savion Williams run into a goalpost or something?
Mucky Tundra (25-Jul) : also, no bueno when a guy starts getting concussions right off the bat in his career
Zero2Cool (25-Jul) : Concussion is worse. Banks probably vet off day via back booboo claim
Mucky Tundra (25-Jul) : @AndyHermanNFL Jordy Nelson out at camp today. No word if he’s in play for one of the two open roster spots ; )
dfosterf (25-Jul) : Is that better or worse than Banks bad back?
Zero2Cool (25-Jul) : Savion concussion ... not good.
packerfanoutwest (24-Jul) : Aaron Rodgers’s first pass of first team period was picked off
Mucky Tundra (24-Jul) : tbh I didn't hear of his passing
