Bigby did well the second half of '07, his first year starting.

In '08 he was injured through out. Had a worse injury than the injury report stated.


In '09 he was 'back to his old self', but once again, injured.


He's kept because he has talent and the staff is hoping his injuries are not common place, however, its looking like they are.

No matter how much talent he may have, their keeping Bigby on the roster flies directly in the face of their availability mantra.

"You never lose a starting job to injury" is the truism of a bad poker player. Ted Thompson has followed the prudent strategy of "hire slow, fire fast" this season with a number of players. I wish he'd follow through with more of the dead weight this roster is dragging around.
