Packers Mobile is up and running

The Green Bay Packers are offering a new service to dedicated Packer fans: mobile alerts.

Team officials announced Friday that they have teamed with 4INFO, a mobile media company, to deliver news, scores and statistics to fans' cell phones or other mobile devices.

On game days, the service will provide scoring updates with different options. All National Football League games will be available.

The program is free for fans who sign up on Packers.com, but text messaging and other fees from fans' mobile carriers will apply.

The Green Bay Packers have added another resource to keep their fans up to date with latest information about the team: Packers mobile alerts.

The Packers have teamed with 4INFO to deliver news, scores and stats straight to fans' cell phones or other mobile devices.

Once fans have signed up through Packers.com, information and scores will be sent to their phone as they happen. Fans will immediately know new developments with the team via their cell phone or mobile device and later, when they are near a computer, can go to Packers.com for more information.

On game days, the service also will be convenient for fans who are unable to follow a game. Scoring updates are available with different options, including final game score, quarter scores, score changes, lead changes and turnovers. All NFL games are available as well.

Packers mobile alerts also can be helpful to fans playing fantasy football, as stat updates are available for all NFL players.

The program is available for free on Packers.com, but text messaging and other fees from fans' mobile carriers will apply.

Fans interested in learning more about the service, as well as signing up, can log on to www.packers.com/fan_zone/mobile_alerts.
