Rivers? I just don't see it.

Although playing with all those injuries while LT sat on the sidelines was pretty sick.

I hate the one season thing. No one waited for Adrian Peterson to have another good year before they proclaimed him the next big thing. Matt Ryan, same thing.. ridiculous comparisons already being made after one year.

Brady, Manning & Brees are the top 3. Rivers & A-Rod are absolutely 4 and 5 in my book.

Need repeat performances to be elite, so no to Rodgers, yet. I think there are some green goggles on putting Rodgers into the top 5 right now. Rivers deserves to be on that list, kid gets better every year and lit it up last year.

Yeah, I wouldn't put Roethlisberger even close to these guys. The Steelers are a great organization, but that doesn't make your QB automatically upper echelon.

I wouldn't even have Big Ben in my top 5. He's the LUCKIEST QB of the 00s. Worst SB EVER by a SB winning QB. EVER. Right place at the right time. I want him to buy me a lottery ticket.

As for ranking QBs, Brady is hands down the best player of the 00s. Period. End of story. To see another QB listed over Brady is just moronic. No, I don't like him as a person, but we're talking players and as a QB (since '76 when I started watching football), only Joe Montana and possibly Steve Young I'd put in a higher tier.

I wouldn't put Rodgers in the top 5...right now. I personally think he is a top 5 QB and will be after this season. I wouldn't put Big Ben in the top 5 either. He has been clutch and has two rings but his QB skills are not top 5. McNabb is good but not top 5. Romo needs playoff victories to be top 5.

My Current Top 5 QBs

1. Peyton Manning
2. Tom Brady
3. Drew Brees
4. Phillip Rivers
5. Aaron Rodgers-I guess I lied  I can't think of anyone else to put above him. Tony Romo has the talent and the numbers but like I said no playoff victory. Rodgers hasn't made the playoffs yet.
Other Top 10-15 QBs
Cutler, McNabb, Eli Manning, Big Ben, Warner. Joe Flacco and Trent Edwards have the potential to be great.

Brady has lost points in my book.

They throw Cassell in, and he comes out with stats equal to Brady's career average, and the team goes 11-5. Very good QB, but overrated in my book. Hell NE didn't even have enough trust in Cassell last year, to leave him in for mop up duty. Then comes out and the team didn't drop much, and I don't think Cassell is a good QB.

I know I got sick to my stomach when Colin Cowherd called Brady "arguably the best player in NFL history" a couple of days ago.
