W. o. W.
No game ever goes as it 'should'. The perfect game where your QB throws a perfect pass everytime and your WR catch every pass ... just doesn't happen.
Fact is, this was the first game of the season. First time these guys have played 4 consecutive quarters against a team that game planned against them.
Another piece of good information, good teams win close games. Good example would be the Giants and Patriots of '07. The Patriots blew out more than half of their games. Giants lost a few, squeaked by a fair share and won the Super Bowl against the Patriots. Not by a blow out, by winning a close game. Why? Because that is what GOOD teams do. Patriots were good enough to pile on teams, but were not good enough to win close games.
You need to be able to win close games. Packers won a close game against a major rival the first game of the season. Funny thing is, I never noticed a * by a W that said 'ugly win here, should have been a route'. Have you? Didn't think so.
