thanks to you all for the kind words. she's at home resting now with her twin sister taking care of her for a few weeks. here's hoping for a quick recovery - she might be 73 but she acts like she's 50 - always on the move & very active! this is gonna drive her NUTS!!!!

My best wishes to your mother on a speedy recovery. I had my mother in a wheelchair too, she lost both of her legs to diabetes. I know the feeling.

well since she fainted & she's 73, that instantly meant to the doctor that she needed an EKG & blood work to make sure it wasn't anything with her heart that caused her to faint.

every single nurse that came in her room said, in effect, "duh, you broke your ankle - of course you fainted"!!

but i guess, better safe than sorry. she's still in very little pain so i'm very thankful for that. she'll bounce back just fine.

What a coincidence. My wife sprained her ankle while on drill this weekend too. May your mother's recovery exceed everyone's expectations!
