I I think GB's biggest concern should be Matt Forte(whoever said that he's overrated needs to go back to football school, I don't hear anybody annointing him to AP status, he is what he is).

Take a look at grants stats and compare them to forte's ... only thing he has more of is receptions and TDs. Rushing yards and yards per carry are the same.
The fact chicagos receivers arnt 1/2 as good as ours explains why hes got more passing yards.

He was running behind a crappy O-line, as well, though. He had no QB that forced defenses to back off a little and he's a great receiver coming out of the backfield.

Combine that with last season just being his rookie one, and you have one potentially dangerous weapon.

Maybe I put it down in a confusing way and used one comma too many, but I meant to say that he was in the same situation as Grant on that one, yet, didn't have the benefit of a good QB, while being a better receiver than Grant also.

The only edge Forte has over Grant is super receiving skills. But that's just from what I saw of him in a few games.

D'oh, I'm sorry, Rock, I misread the intent of your sentence. I thought you were trying to put Forte in a situation Grant didn't have to confront. My fault for the misunderstanding.

Looking ahead to ChiTown ...

I do think the Packers will move the ball effectively against Chicago. The trump card, IMO, is Ryan Grant. If he plays with some success it will allow the Pack to effectively utilize play action -- rather than depending on a spread attack to move the ball vertically. I know -- I'm the first person in the universe to suggest "run the ball well and it'll open up play action!"

Now, second big issue: Cutler will allow the Bears offense to do new things. Orton and Grossman = turds. A lot has been said about Forte and Olsen and the impact they'll make in the offense. I agree, those are legitimate threats. But more than that, a QB like Cutler -- simply by virtue of being a substantial upgrade over "Rex Orton" -- will make those seemingly pedestrian no-name WRs better.

Cutler takes chances. He has a very good arm. My best guess is we'll hear the names Earl Bennett and Devin Hester more than we'd like to.

Green Bay still wins this one. The offense has all the potential to be very good, the defense will definitely be improved, and Ryan Grant will return to 2007-esque form.
William Henderson didn't have to run people over. His preferred method was levitation.

The Bares can have Cutler. I want Rodgers. BRING IT ON!

I figured out what's missing: Where are our faithful troll?!?! We should have some Bears fans on here telling us we suck, and we should have guys like 93z trolling enemy boards and trying to find some "I-told-you-so" material for Monday morning. Where is it? sadface.

beast (30-Jan) : I thought they were supposed to publicly announce them, at least the NFL ones. Hafley was from college, so I believe different rules.
Mucky Tundra (30-Jan) : Who knows who they're interviewing? I mean, nobody knew about Hafley and then out of nowhere he was hired
