Looking ahead to ChiTown ...
I do think the Packers will move the ball effectively against Chicago. The trump card, IMO, is Ryan Grant. If he plays with some success it will allow the Pack to effectively utilize play action -- rather than depending on a spread attack to move the ball vertically. I know -- I'm the first person in the universe to suggest "run the ball well and it'll open up play action!"
Now, second big issue: Cutler will allow the Bears offense to do new things. Orton and Grossman = turds. A lot has been said about Forte and Olsen and the impact they'll make in the offense. I agree, those are legitimate threats. But more than that, a QB like Cutler -- simply by virtue of being a substantial upgrade over "Rex Orton" -- will make those seemingly pedestrian no-name WRs
better.
Cutler takes chances. He has a very good arm. My best guess is we'll hear the names Earl Bennett and Devin Hester more than we'd like to.
Green Bay still wins this one. The offense has all the potential to be very good, the defense will definitely be improved, and Ryan Grant will return to 2007-esque form.
William Henderson didn't have to run people over. His preferred method was levitation.
"I'm a reasonable man, get off my case."
