Packers Are Going To Cut Smith (hot rumor)

If you watched the Arizona game you saw Anthony Smith making plays and punishing Cardinals players. Then why is their talk he is going to be released? That's right, Smith's days are short for the Green and Gold according to what we've learned.

We hope that someway the appropriate decision is made a Smith makes the team.

Your rumors have held their own weight in the past.. this is extremely interesting to read.. With Bigby showing little this preseason.. it seems odd that Smith wouldn't be kept as plan B.. attitude or not.

hope not he's one of my fav guys this offseason - I do admit he's got a bit of a 'swagger'.

He has done real well in the preseason so far IMO

Can't see them getting rid of #2 on the depth unless there is a very good offer for him. Same with some that I heard talking about trading Chillar. Bigby has not impressed me, could just be that he has been where he is suppose to be and the plays have been going away, but he just doesn't seem to be around the ball like he was on 07.

That would be incredibly dumb, cut the #2 SS on the roster because he has an attitude?

I'm pretty new round here so haven't come across your predictions yet.

I will follow this with interest.

I hate cocky jerks so can understand him causing a few problems in the locker room.
But it would seem pretty mad to let him go considering Rouse and Peprah are out and Bush is now playing more corner.

Wouldn't that be ironic someone on this board said he was a trouble maker when he was signed as a free agent, but then again once again the so called off season moves will not be on the team again :P

Duke Preston from Buffalo = gone
Anthony Smith from Pittsburgh = gone

wow way to go and to believe Ted Thompson had some believing he did something in the offseason 😛

Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)

How much did we pay for him? Seems odd we would just cut him. But then again, we have money to spare if it means a better 53 roster. but crazy either way considering I see him as a #2 at the moment with #1 potential. Possible there might be a twist on the story and he is part of a trade?
