Ideal situation would be Hawk for Josh Johnson and a draft pick. Then cut Brohm. Put him in the PS if by some miracle he's not claimed from the waivers (I might add, if someone does pick him up, they clearly have not watched preseason footage from him).

Spread your chances. I don't see a reason for having a 3rd string QBs, other than grooming him. They'll have Freeman as 2nd string/starter and McCown as 2nd string/starter. Josh Johnson would fit that 3rd string perfectly, but I could imagine that they'd pull the trigger if they could get Brohm.

He hasn't been that impressive, but people don't seem to give up on high draft picks that fast. Just look at all the effort that was put in to Ryan Leaf after his horrible years in SD.

That was my point, us trading for him, so that they wouldn't have him anymore. Or at least, that's what it was supposed to say. Got a bit unclear.

The problem is finding a quarterback who is comfortable with running/the progressions of the West Coast offense. None of the Bucs quarterbacks look like they have much WC expertise.

Be careful what you wish for--from tonights game:

Bucs QB Byron Leftwich has overthrown four open receivers, including TE Kellen Winslow on a wide-open corner route that might have gone for a TD.

Leftwich looked a cunt-hair better than Brohm if you ask me.
