Ideal situation would be Hawk for Josh Johnson and a draft pick. Then cut Brohm. Put him in the PS if by some miracle he's not claimed from the waivers (I might add, if someone does pick him up, they clearly have not watched preseason footage from him).

Are you people crazy?!?!?

Why are people making such a big deal about the #3 QB? I really don't get it... I mean the #3 QB is usually there for a young QB who has no place starting that point.

Cutting Brohm who is in his 2nd year for a vet isn't smart at all.... a lot of QBs have look bad in thei 2nd years including the current starter Rodgers. (then again some were saying what a horrible pick that was too then which I thought was pointless at the time too).

The #3 QB isn't getting in the game so let the kid grow some more.... Flynn can be good enough as a vet so we don't need no stinkin vet QB.... the QB group is a lot better than it was last year with Rodgers and Flynn steping up and we stayed with them why change now unless there is a good young QB that could become a starter?

also on a side note trading Hawk for a never will be QB is pretty silly.....

Here is something about brohm from wednesdays practice

THUMBS DOWN
It was painful to watch third-string QB Brian Brohm. He received all the repetitions with the No. 2s because backup Matt Flynn was out with a shoulder injury and he did nothing to take advantage of the opportunity. Whether he was playing with the No. 2 offense or serving as the scout team quarterback, he was off the mark all day. In all, he threw five interceptions and could have been intercepted at least two other times. It's not a heinous crime to throw an interception when playing for the scout team, but even in those situations the quarterbacks are encouraged to challenge the defense and play efficiently. It wasn't just the interceptions, either. In short yardage, he overthrew the 6-foot-6 Moore in the end zone twice, once missing a wide-open target in the middle of the field and the other time misfiring on a fade route into the corner. His performance was bad enough that coach Mike McCarthy made note of it in his post-practice news conference. "He's had some decisions I'm sure he wished he could have back," McCarthy said. "I think that's obvious as you watch practice, but these reps are so valuable for a young quarterback, and that's what he needs. He needs to go out there and have some success Friday (against Arizona)."

I guess we will see what he does tonight. Maybe Brohm will turn it around but it isn't going to be this year and probably won't be in Green Bay. I don't think Brohm has shown any signs of being decent since the day we got him. So yeah that does mean he SUCKS(on an NFL level) as of right now. Really it doesn't matter much because Brohm will be 3rd string if anything and probably won't be on the field for us this season. I also read that Brohm couldn't serperate Tony Moll and Cyril Obiozor from their scuffle but in fairness i guess it did take several players to seperate them, not that it has anything to do with brohms qb ability lol.

I'm afraid that unit of measurement doesn't register with me since most women I know are shaved. :downtown:

Frankly, I'm going to laugh at all the fans calling for Brohm's head the first time he throws for 4,000 yards and 30 TDs with whatever team he gets traded to. At least some of you are honest and admit you didn't have faith in Rodgers either. ;)

EDIT: Thanks, wpr!

TwinkieGorilla, I know you and I are not alone in that. And maybe I'm jaded from having spent too much time over at GBPG and PN. I'm sure there was more faith in Rodgers than I give Packer Nation credit for. I just wish we'd cut this kid a little slack.

I liked Rodgers from his Cal day's, my father lives in the area. Why does not thinking Brohm can hack it mean you didn't like Rodgers. Believe it or not, NFL teams have had to rely on their 3rd QB, and can anyone honestly say they are comfortable with that?

I don't mind being put in that laughee category if Brohm develops into something besides what he is right now. This is the stuff debates and discussion boards are made for. What I don't understand is the interjection of posts (like a sniper taking an occasional pot-shot) at those that find this subject worthy of discussion. My understanding is that our team happens to be at least discussing it, and why wouldn't they? Everybody weighed in on the Vick thing--What did some of you think--- Getting rid of Rodgers or something--- ?

I will repeat that due to the lack of raw material, it is not my place to project out any further than an opinion of what I have seen so far, and I think I semi-promised not to say he sucks...I forget exactly what I promised, lol---- Not developed or some other PC crap--- whatever--It's that, and if he tears it up tonight, for example, I would be more than happy to be a laughee as early as tomorrow.

beast (23-Jan) : I wonder why the Jets always hire defensive coaches to be head coach
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Still HC positions available out there. I wonder if Hafley pops up for one
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Trent Baalke is out as the Jaguars GM.
dfosterf (22-Jan) : Jeff Hafley would have been a better choice, fortunately they don't know that. Someone will figure that out next off season
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Aaron Glenn Planning To Take Jets HC Job
dfosterf (22-Jan) : Martha- C'est mon boulot! 😁
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Thank you

wpr (22-Jan) : Beast- back to yesterday, I CAN say OSU your have been Michigan IF the odds of making the playoffs were more urgent.
dfosterf (22-Jan) : Glad to hear you are feeling a bit better.
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : I've been near death ill last several days, finally feel less dead and site issues.
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : It is a big deal. This host is having issues. It's frustrating.
Martha Careful (22-Jan) : just kidding...it was down
Martha Careful (22-Jan) : you were blocked yesterday, due to a a recalcitrant demeanor yesterday in the penalty box for a recalcitrant demeanor
dfosterf (22-Jan) : Was that site shutdown on your end or mine? No big deal, just curious
beast (21-Jan) : That way teams like Indiana and SMU don't make the conference championships by simply avoiding all the other good teams in their own confere
beast (21-Jan) : Also, with these "Super Conferences" instead of a single conference champion, have 4 teams make a Conference playoffs.
beast (21-Jan) : Also in college football, is a bye week a good or bad thing?
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : The tournament format was fine. Seeding could use some work.
beast (21-Jan) : You can't assume Ohio State would of won the Michigan game...
beast (21-Jan) : Rankings were 1) Oregon 2) Georgia 3) Texas 4) Penn State 5) Notre Dame 6) Ohio State, none of the rest mattered
wpr (21-Jan) : Texas, ND and OSU would have been fighting for the final 2 slots.
wpr (21-Jan) : Oregon and Georgia were locks. Without the luxury of extra playoff berths, Ohios St would have been more focused on Michigan game.
wpr (21-Jan) : Zero, no. If there were only 4 teams Ohio State would have been one of them. Boise St and ASU would not have been selected.
Zero2Cool (21-Jan) : So that was 7 vs 8, that means in BCS they never would made it?
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : A great game. Give ND credit for coming back, although I am please with the outcome.
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : FG to make it academic
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : and there's the dagger
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : ooooo 8 point game with 4 minutes to go!
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : ooooooooohhhhhh he missed!
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Ooooo that completion makes things VERY interesting
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Game not over yet
beast (21-Jan) : Oh yeah, Georgia starting quarterback season ending elbow injury
beast (21-Jan) : Sadly something happened to Georgia... they should be playing in this game against Ohio State
beast (21-Jan) : I thought Ohio State and Texas were both better than Notre Dame & Penn State
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Notre Lame getting rolled
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : Ohio State just got punched in the gut. Lets see how they respond
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Notre Lame vs the Luckeyes, bleh
