No, all lives matter is not better. It's just as bad because it comes after black lives matter therefore gets a contrarian perception. If it had started off as all lives matter, maybe it'd be less manipulated into some political polarizing angle.
The issue is its easy to discern black lives matter as meaning other lives do not matter because it's a phrase that excludes. That's not the motive. That's not the message. There's a group that belive (true or not) blacks are short handed and blacks are not treated fairly. The message for black lives matter is to raise up blacks to be treated as other races are to be treated. In other words to level the playing field not by lowering other races, but rather by pushing black race up to match that of other races. However, some refuse to understand this and let their insecurities run wild thinking the message is black lives matter more than other race lives.
Again, the statement, the message, the phrase, whatever you wish to label it as... It needs to be inclusive, not exclusive in order for it to be encapsulated by everyone.
