At this point, I seriously don't care where or when or what Brett Favre does. He retired from the Packers. He did well here. He is gone. At this point, it has nothing to do with the way I feel about him one way or the other as a Packer.

I am glad some other teams got the distraction this year. I wish him no ill will (other than I would wish any other Viking), but I am far past the point of caring about what Brett is doing.

Basically, it's a "whatever" to me.

The only way this gives us a better pick is if it makes us have a worse record. Favre was a free agent and has nothing to do with our picks.

Yes, that is true.

Gee, I wonder if Grave knew that.

We sometimes get some sarcasm going here, Johnny.

Mostly it's just a shame, though. It's been unbelievable to watch this guy trash his legacy like this.

Whoa!! Putting the cart in front of the horse are we? Let's let the guy play at least half a season before we anoint the Vikings championship winners.

edit, if they win? Not his on field legacy. His legacy as a man, has been tainted, in my opinion.

Renowned orthopedist Dr. James Andrews found a small tear in Favres rotator cuff when he did surgery earlier in the offseason to release a tendon that was causing pain in Favres arm. Upon being informed of the tendon tear, Cook said Favre was hesitant to sign with the Vikings at the beginning of training camp for fear that he would have to quit when the injury got worse.

At the time, he didnt want to give them his word he was ready to go because, in his mind, he wanted to give them what they paid for and he wasnt sure how the arm was going to be, Cook said.

On Friday, Andrews called Cook to say that if Favre wanted to play, he should.

He cant promise that it wont get worse, but Dr. Andrews basically said it should be OK to get through the season. Basically, he said, Hey, if you want to play, go do it, Cook said.

Can anyone really seriously have a lot of confidence his throwing shoulder is going to hold up over another 16 games, 8 of which are going to be on artificial turf? Rotator cuff tears are pretty much the reason Pennington has such a noodle arm now.
