What would you guys think if we gave Joe Philbin an opportunity to call plays? Or get an offensive coordinator that does call plays?

I'm not saying that I want this (and I don't), but I'm just putting it out there to see what some of you would think of it.

I mean, what purpose does Philbin serve right now? Does he even do anything? I guess he helps Mike McCarthy make the plays?

I would be for it. If I remember correct, when McCarthy was coaching the probowl team he had Philbin call the plays for that. And if I remember right, he ran the piss out of Peterson.

Gameplanning and execution play hand in hand. McCarthy never calls plays to get Rodgers comfortable like Holmgren use to do to Favre. Get Aaron some early completions and settle in and the offense will do better.
