Way to go TT, get him in tomorrow and let the coaches get him caught up.

Doesn't matter what the #'s are, with Harrell being a big ?, this needed to be done!

Let's hope he lives up to his hype!!!!

The Pack Will Be Back.

Yesterday it sounded like things had hit a new low, with Raji flying back to Boston, and now this. It gives the team a boost heading into the first preseason game, even though he won't play in it. He should have plenty of time, now to get up to speed by the start of the regular season.

@TomSilverstein: Just got the Raji contract numbers: 5 years, $28.5 million (just under 18 million guaranteed)

That really isn't a lot of money by first round standards. I wonder what the hell the agent was talking about.

Going into it a bit deeper.

Raji deal worth $28.5 million with $18 guaranteed

Tom Silverstein, Journal Sentinel

Green Bay -- The Green Bay Packers and nose tackle B.J. Raji agreed upon a deal that appears about commensurate with what the going rate was for players selected around the ninth selection.

It's possible No. 10 pick Michael Crabtree will sign for more with the San Francisco 49ers, but the Raji deal should stand by itself and be palatable for both sides.

Raji's five-year deal is worth $28.5 million, according to an NFL source familiar with the numbers. The guaranteed portion of the contract is worth just under $18 million.

The No. 9 pick last year, Cincinnati linebacker Keith Rivers, signed a five-year deal worth $20.1 million and included around $15.7 in guarantees. Raji's total deal represents a 40% increase in total value, and an increase of about 15% guarantees.
