Yes, it does amaze me that some people just can't say something good about Brett Favre.

As for me, I'm rooting for both of them to be successful. Brett Favre is my favorite player, Aaron Rodgers is the QB of my favorite team.

Brett showed what a classy guy he is. He holds no grudges and after a few successful seasons in new York, will retire a Packer.

To be honest, I don't know why this is such a big deal. So Brett congratulated Aaron. That's all well and good and a classy thing to do.

As far as I'm concerned, the fact that neither have talked to each other since before Brett retired speaks much more volume than any of this media-friendly QB massaging.

Let's face it. Both are professionals and both are bound to applaud the other insomuch as to maintain their professionalism and media persona. But lets not kid ourselves, they're not as great friends as we might think they are.

Engineer - I don't expect them to be.

Let's say you change jobs. You'll have 20 or 30 people that were your friends. Of those, only 2 or 3 you actually keep in touch with. That's how it is.

My guess is that Favre's in touch with Driver and maybe one or two more Packers and that's it.

The NFL is a business. The difference between our jobs and their is theirs is fun to watch, ours isn't.
