from what I recall, he wasn't much into sports. he was more into... drinking. lol. Good guy though. I think he'd make a great special assistant to the traveling secretary.

I think it's more to do with Grant trying to stay low ... something he did not do too well last year. Staying low to the ground and getting his feet up to break tackles should help him improve on last year.

To be honest, it seems like MM is finally adjusting his running scheme to his players. McCarthy has stated publicly that he wants more runs up the middle (as opposed to outside runs) which should suit our current RB roster well. Grant has some size to him, Jackson has got that ability to fight for yardage, and Wynn looks like a powerful hitter.

I'm really excited about Wynn, and that's surprising because I've held Grant in high regard. I still think Grant can be a real good RB, but I would not be surprised if Wynn is getting extended playing time.

Oh, and I just hope MM soon settles on a starting 5, so that the backs and the starters can get some chemistry going. For the love of all that is right, get some consistency on the o-line!

Scary shit...just started seeing a gal who is a diehard Viking fan. Hey, she is so sweet otherwise, you just have to accept it!! LOL

First Vikesrule's son marries into the Packer nation.. and now we have to offset it with one of our own dating into the Viking pool...

What next.. a Packer Lions hookup.

BTW... just two years ago we had so many questions at RB.. this year it seems that we have such depth to choose from.. that is a telling sign of the growth of a team.. not just in the RB.. down the entire roster.

Did I tell you guys this news? I think I forgot. You all know Childress's daughter got married last month right? The dude she married lived directly across the hall from me in the dorm my freshman year. Justin Forbrook. weird.

Well hopefully he doesn't try and help up the father in law, unless he knows less about the game than Chilly does...

Want some humor.. they actually have a thread going on the PPO to re ink Chilly to a long term deal.. I hope Wilf is reading it and getting the checkbook out.

Only the homerist of homer Viking fans would want Chilly reupped. I am talking about guys who borrow their deep purple goggles from Ritchie Blackmore himself.

The funny thing about that is my step father who lives in Rodgers looks just like him, and really, really hates Chilly.

Love the Deep Purple reference, Dakota. The live version of "Child in Time" on made in Japan is guitar heaven.

Definitely an underrated band. Maybe because of all the lineup changes. I guess the really talented (Blackmore) are misunderstood and difficult to coexist with.

I've got my seven year old learning piano and guitar, and I hope for Christmas she can play me the "Smoke of the Water" riff.
