cmon guys if i posted something positive about Rodgers right away, people would think someone hijacked my name and posted lol. Basically i thought it was a good read and no i don't put all the blame on Rodgers but some has to, just like some goes on the defense and special teams and wrs and so on.

The whole team failed last year plain and simple.

See the problem here is just about every single poster who has wrote something on here about Rodgers has put a fair amount of blame on him since last season yet every time you say something about him you act like everybody is treating him like he is perfect. I've even seen zero call you out for doing this several times but I guess you just ignore it.

See stuff like i bolded is what i don't understand. How the hell can you guarantee something you have no control over, i could live with your predicting or hoping we see bigger things. But cmon how the hell can you guarantee anything. If he fails what do we get seeing you have a guarantee on it.

I don't really know what to say to you, dhazer, except this, which is my most honest assessment of my feelings towards Rodgers as our QB. Going into last season, I had a heaping handful of concerns about him taking over. One of the biggest ways I judge a QB is if he has the ability to attack a defense vs. just taking what the defense gives him (short passes under coverage, dump offs, etc.). Rodgers showed the ability to attack defenses. He also showed the ability to improvise, to scramble, to look off coverages (which he improved on throughout the year). He took some big hits and kept playing too. I have one concern going into this year, which is the INTs late in games. I just see anything else that supports the notion that he won't improve on this as well. It was his first year starting. He answered 95% of my concerns. I am optimistic.

I also think the "sophomore slump" of Favre's 2nd season is completely irrelevant to Rodgers. They are completely different styles of QBs. Favre didn't even know what a nickel defense was his 2nd year in the league. It would have been a much better argument if the author had been able to show that the majority of quality QBs who posted good numbers their first year slumped mightily in their second year.

I question a defense that when given the lead, turns right around and allows the other teams offense to walk down the field with little resistance.
That happened game after game.

oh, you do that too? see, that's what i do...and i'm right in doing so. funny that people like talking about the QB's like they're the only fucking person on the team. yeah, we get it...celebrity status, etc.

i guarantee we're going to see bigger things from Rodgers this year as his confidence level will be much higher than last year when the entire football world was ready to sweep him under the carpet for not performing like a veteran Favre.

fucking bush league criticism.

Sure he can guarantee it. Why? Because of what we saw out of Rodgers last year. We have no reason why to believe he wont improve.

Good lord, but you're confrontational. Are you going to drive to his home and demand "payment" or something? Criminy.

There are 2 types of people in the world, and this applies to football fans as well: Some prefer to be optimistic and some prefer to be negative. At least as pertains to this board, you are clearly in the latter group.

And that's fine - what's not fine is your insistence on making sure you try to "bring down" those members of the board who prefer to be positive. As if Moses called down to you from Mount Whatever and said "DHazer, it is up to you to point out every flaw you can find, constantly. You must not let the others enjoy their team!"

I guess my only question is: Why?

Your claim that "everyone else has Rodgers in the HOF" has been proven false, time and time again. It holds no water. What is so terribly wrong with fans feeling reasonably good about the fact that their current QB is pretty good, and - while he, like any other QB, has things he can improve upon - stands a very fair chance to be even better? How is this such an affront to you? Would you rather we had a shitty QB? Is that it? Do you simply want the team to suck so that people will agree with you?

Oh, and I'll tell you how Twinks can make that guarantee: It's a freaking internet chat board. This isn't journalism, dude.
