That is a GREAT video.

What is clutch?

Clutch is Magic Johnson hitting a baby hook over the out stretched arms of Kevin McHale to win game 4 of the 1987 NBA Finals.

Clutch is Joe Montana carving up the Bengals defense in the final minutes of SBXXIII.

Clutch is David Ortiz hitting a 2 run homerun in the 12th inning of game 4 in the 2004 ALCS. And in game 5 he hit a 2 run homerun to tie the game in the 8th, and then hit a game winning single in the 14th inning. These were both elimination games. Lose, and your season is done.

And the most clutch of all, Michael Jordan. No one in ANY sport had more clutch moments than this man. Ask the Cleveland Cavaliers  , or the Utah Jazz.

Clutch is what sports are all about. Can you get it done when it matters most? No one cares what you do in the regular season. That's just how it works. Is that fair? Whether it is or not is irrelevant. Legends are made in the post season.

What is clutch?

Clutch (sports)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

[strike]In U.S.-sports terminology, "clutch" means performing well under extreme pressure. It often refers to high levels of production in a critical game (such as Game 7 of a best-of-seven series, the last hole of a major championship golf tournament, or the final minute(s) in a close match). Being "clutch" is often seen by sportswriters, fans, and athletes themselves as an innate skill which some players have while others do not, although most objective research does not support this claim[1].

The opposite of this is choke.[/strike]

Screw it. see Tiger .

How about this for a definition?

Try the "No last name needed head nod."

Clutch:

Joe
Michael
Magic
Tiger

Can't give it to Ortiz, sorry.

The opposite of "clutch" is "Minnesota Vikings".
Gotta update that definition.

When I think clutch, I think Derek Jeter, Robert Horry, Tom Brady, Tiger Woods.

Joe Montana. The guy is just sick. Watch the America's Game episode of teh 1988 49ers. They're down 13 - 16 against the Bengals, everyone's feeling the pressure, and Joe tells his guys to look at the other end-zone and points out that John Candy is sitting there.

What a way to keep your cool and to eventually finish it off with that classic drive.

This is one of the most clutch moments to me, though. It wont say as much to you guys as it does to me, but this goal is scored with 20 seconds left. Just listen to the commentary and you know how amazing a moment that was. And that's while our commentators are usually very laid back and don't put too much emotion in it.
