Well, I respect your opinion warhawk, but I just disagree, I guess.

It would be the ultimate "I told you so" for Brett Favre if he signed with the Vikings and took them to the Superbowl, however.

Or if AR took the PACKERS to the super bowl, and Favre cost the Vikings several games with his picks.

I think there is more of a chance of Favre imploding on the Vikings then him leading them to a SB win.
JMO of course.

I wonder if D80 clicked on the link?

Every playoff game in SB era

182 wins and 151 losses no ints thrown...
.781%

140 wins and 110 losses, 1 int thrown
.560%

53 wins and 116 losses 2 ints thrown
.314%

17 wins and 76 losses 3 ints thrown
.183%

1 win and 27 losses, 4 ints thrown
.036%

0 wins and 10 losses, 5 ints thrown
.000%

0 wins and 3 losses, 6 ints thrown
.000%

Stats show throw 2 or more ints in playoffs its going to be hard to win

I think non is just trying to say if Brett wouldnt have been so reckless IN the playoffs, might have won more

Thats not a knock on how he played, how he got the Packers there..It is just a FACT

I would also like a table of when the left DB makes 4 or more tackles in the third quarter.

And how does the fact that a coach does/does not wear a hat affect everything?

I think it does.
Vince Lombardi always wore that fedora (SP?) and he rarely lost. I think all Packer coaches should wear one.

Teams that toss more touchdowns than their opponents are 207-62 (.770)

Teams that toss fewer interceptions than their opponents are 258-56 (.822).

The most interesting part of the interception ladder is not just that INTs are costly.

Sure, chronicling the actual percentages is nice, but we all know that turnovers cost teams.

The most interesting part is that throwing INTs or, more specifically, not throwing INTs is actually more important than throwing touchdowns in the playoffs.

Last week alone, teams that threw more touchdown passes were 1-2; teams that threw fewer interceptions were 2-1. (The TD and INT numbers were even in one game each.)

Its a bit shocking, considering that the name of the game is to get the ball into the end zone. So you would think that getting the ball into end zone is actually a pretty important indicator. It is, of course, as evidenced by the .770 winning percentage. But it's simply more important to keep the ball out of the hands of your opponent.

It would be, sure. For him. But think about similar situations in your own life - when you made a decision or chose a course of action for the wrong reasons (revenge for a perceived slight), did it make you feel good or like you'd redressed the issue? I know in my case it didn't.

And again - even though I know he's one of the toughest S.O.B.'s to lace up a pair of cleats and hit the football field - if he goes through the rehab/surgery/what-have-you to play for the Vikings and say their brand new center whiffs and someone like Urlacher gets through clean and pastes him, will it have been worth it?

I love the guy for what he gave Packers fans, and as a fan the LAST thing I want to see is him getting injured in a last bid to stick it to Ted Thompson (even if I wholeheartedly agreed with him like you do). It's his decision, of course - he's a grown man, but I would just hate to see it.

Thats what i have been saying.
If his main point of coming back is to try to stick it to TT, and he ends up seriously injured, will he still feel the attempt at "revenge" was worth it?
He's older, and doesn't heal as fast, and is more likely to get hurt.

It's his decision to make though, if thats how he wants to go out.

So I'd take anything they say with a couple pounds of salt.
