I cant help to cringe when thinking we will be copying the patriots - next thing you know well hire a guy with a cam-corder and binoculers and use him to spy on the opposing team.

Yeah, cringe at the fact that we copy a hated team...understandable. But having the same style of management as two teams who win more than lose and love their championships, I am all for this type of managing.

I am obviously one of those fans that become attached to players (the name should say it all) but I also understand that it is a business. If you aren't performing to an elite status, why should you get elite money?

Well, I don't know if I absolutely agree with this type of managing.....

If we have good contributing players (Jennings, Collins) then we should definitely re-sign them. It makes zero sense to me to let them go.....

I dont see anyone offering a 34/35 year old Driver 7 mil per season. If it takes 4 years @ 24 mil to re-sign him with a 7 million bonus and a back loaded contract to keep him, we should in fact keep him if he is still producing at his current level. If he falls off big time, we can cut him after 2 years.

Now, if Nelson AND Jones are at his level (75 catches @ 1200 yards) and more importantly, can be counted on as Driver is, i'd say there is no reason to keep him. But we have to have 3 good receivers and Jones & Nelson have not shown it as of yet although i expect one of them to do so pretty soon.
