Join us as the Packers try to end the 49ers’ playoff hopes
The Green Bay Packers are sitting pretty with a 7-3 record in the NFC, at least if your goal is for the team to make the postseason. Meanwhile, the 5-5 San Francisco 49ers are gasping for air. If San Francisco loses this one, their best bet to make the playoffs is going to come from winning the lowly NFC West, as any wildcard hopes get damped down severely.
The 49ers are going to be fighting the uphill battle of being down quarterback Brock Purdy, left tackle Trent Williams and defensive end Nick Bosa due to injury, too. You can make the argument that those are the three most important players to the team’s success over the years. If you include receiver Brandon Aiyuk, who is on injured reserve, San Francisco will be out four of its top seven players in this game with two others — running back Christian McCaffrey and tight end George Kittle — being less than 100 percent.
Hopefully, the Packers can take advantage of a weak and injured 49ers team. Join in on the discussion in the comment section below.
