Ok, this would piss some people off but how do you pass on a guy that is projected as the #3 pick in the draft? This gives us time to find out if Love is truly the guy or if it was a 1/2 year wonder. Also Jones can't be depended on to stay healthy so why not grab 1 of the top backs right away. I am not concerned about our defense and we will bring in some veteran help there. I liked my draft and would be stoked if it fell like this but I knew this draft was wacked when all these teams passed on a QB and they had Chicago taking Drake Maye at #1. I am willing to bet anyone money that Maye will not go #1 to the Bears, remember last time they wasted a high pick on a NC QB lol, in fact they can resign him if they want a NC QB lol.

these are funny but I end up with the same players a lot, just like Gute I don't mind double dipping at safety and a nice little addition to the WR room (maybe trade off Watson)

pff_mock_results - 2024-02-19T105549.626.png You have insufficient rights to see the content.

Two trades: Basically I take picks #25 & 41 and swap them for picks #30 & 31 while a Ravens 3rd round pick goes to the 49ers.

1.30 OL Barton
Started at Center before three years at LT, I believe he can stay at OT in the pros but most don't seem to believe so. He's got vice grib hands, with refs allowing holding more and more, I think he can play all 5 positions. Needs to get more consistent with his power.

1.31 S Nubin
The most instinctive Safety that makes the least mistakes in this draft class. Some knock him because he not the most athletic, but so what if he's not able to play single deep FS, most starting.NFL safeties can't and it's not needed unless your scheme runs that a good bit which most schemes don't.

Trade again, I don't like the players they had listed in this area and a RB I would have selected got selected one pick before. So trade back and still get the top group of players I would of selected next.

3.68 WR Legette
Not really looking for WRs, but I feel the WR group is clearly. A couple of big physical WRs to choose from, I went with Legette as I think he has the best run after the catch and deep ball potential, but it's a bit scare that while he was absolutely amazing last year, that was his only good year. Of course, they have had mostly crap at QB until finally getting a transfer.

3.88 DT Sweat
Okay, if Sweat drops this far, then I'm worried about potential red flags, as he's 6'4" 360lbs, and athletic, and dominated at times... if he almost drops out of the 3rd round then there are some red flags scaring teams off. Some rumors that he's weight at times goes way up, and might of been 380lbs at draft bowl game, and some rumors he didn't break out sooner due to some immaturity issues. But his physical potential is huge!

3.91 CB Hart
Long, athletic and can play press man coverage which supposedly is what the new defensive coverage would like to do.

4.104 FS Taylor-Demerson
Undersized but extremely athletic can play the deep FS role and also not afraid to hit, while there might be some concerns if he can consistently bang, might need to protect him from OL. Makes some mistakes but usually has the speed to make up for it.

4.126 RB Benson
I'd be willing to take Benson much higher, he has high pad level and needs to improve his pass blocking, but other than that he seems great. I admit I held off drafting RB sooner because I knew he was down here which is not true for a real draft.

5.168 OL Sundell
Started at Center until 2023 where he switched to LT. On a run first team, where they run the ball more than 50% of the time. Probably switch back inside in the NFL, 6'4½" 300lbs.

6.182 OT Rosengarten
Rosengarten is athletic like Bakhtiari (though at RT), but clearly even less power (and Bakhtiari needed more power)... so I could literally see Rosengarten going anywhere in the draft depending on how teams see athletic potential vs lack of power as he's a boom or bust. Some think he'll go in the 3rd round, personally I liked Bakhtiari and Tom better and they surprisingly didn't go until the 4th.

6.216 Edge Byrd
Smaller than Gute prefers at 6'3" 255lb but he seems very well rounded and like he could be a very good pass rush specialist. And something I really like is that he seems to be shockingly good at change of direction for his size. A mobile QB changes directions and he basically adjusted at the same time.

7.243 LB Gant
Was at Ohio State with the Packers new defensive coordinator, before transferring to start. Very good when he doesn't have to deal with OL. Probably a good STer.

7.251 LB Magee
Seems to be a jack of all trades, while he might dominate in any one area. Can be used in a lot of different ways.

1.27 S Nubin
Most instinctive Safety in the draft.

2.41 LB Cooper
Very athletic run and hit LB, keeps the ball in front of him, and gets the carry down extremely quickly.

2.57 RB Brooks
Texas has just had great RBs recently. Brooks was athletic, physical and just kept breaking tackles with ease, and was good as a receiver too. Coming off a season ending injury, otherwise he might be a lot higher.

3.88 CB Hart
If we're going to press Coverage, then we need a long arm CB and Hart likes to press already and is fairly athletic for the bigger CBs.

3.91 CB Jones
Was absolutely great in the slot last year.

4.105 OL Puni
Has played LT and LG the last two years. I think he's could play OT but might be better at OG, and looking at him to compete at RG, and maybe backup OT.

4.126 RB Benson
I'm surprised they have Benson ranked so low. He was setting PFF records with broken tackle percentages in 2022. And what exactly are his weakness?

5.175 WR McCaffrey
Yes, Christian McCaffrey brother, but also Max McCaffrey was on the Packers teams a couple of times (maybe not on the 53 man roster)

Luke was a QB, before switching to WR and developing extremely fast considering his late start to the position.

5.176 OT Rosengarten
Extremely athletic for an OL, but no where close. to enough power. Boom or bust selection, but with some added strength and power he potentially could really boom.

7.235 TE Reiman
Traits base selection, as he hasn't produced as much as you'd like on the field, but showed in shine bowl that he clearly has the potential to. 6'4" 275lb TE that looks like an undersized OL, but he's moved very well for the size. Needs to develop but has the physical tools. Of course, why didn't he produce more in college?

7.243 SS Owens
A long term starter but had a very bad year last year for some reason, but the previous years were pretty good, could he potentially have a big bounce back? The other Texas Tech Safety impressed scouts in the Shine game. So maybe they're both better than first thought.

7.251 LB Gant
Run and Chase LB that surprised some by getting the start in the Shine game. Very athletic, you aren't asking him to blitz, but using his athletic upside. Also was at Ohio State with our new defensive coordinator.

DB Loaded Draft
pff_mock_results - 2024-02-24T145817.164.png You have insufficient rights to see the content.

1.25 S Nubin
I want to trade back, but Gute rarely trades back and if they truly want a stud Safety they might want to make sure they don't miss out on Nubin.

2.41 OL Morgan
Athletic LT, which some think would be best at OG, but I think he can play both OT and OG well. I think OT might be a better fit.

2.57 Edge Trice
Gute likes oversized, powerful hands edge rushers and at 6'3" 275lbs, Trice is. Also gives GREAT effort, though the timing on his punches seems to to it's own beat, and needs to improve on finishing tackles.

3.88 S Kitchens
Had an amazing 2022 season where everyone thought he'd be a 1st round pick, but 2023 came back down to average like his 2021 season. The HUGE upside is there, but the consistency and limiting errors is not. Boom or bust, but I think it's worth the risk, to potentially have a guy that could become elite, even though he's inconsistent now.

3.91 CB Hart
Very good coverage from press coverage with long arms and pretty athletic.

4.126 RB Estime
Big physical RBs that's surprising light on his feet giving him great quickness for his size.

5.168 CB McGlothern
Very good in coverage but don't expect to get much of anything from run defense.

6.203 Slot Brown
Brown is a CB to me, though in 2023 he did play more of a shallow Safety role, mostly in the slot, but some in the box. As a deep Safety, Brown has less than 75 career snaps as a deep Safety, but over 600 snaps just in 2023. Gute doesn't go for smaller players, and most slot guys are small, so here is a 6' 200lb slot CB.

6.213 IOL Bortolini
Bortolini struggled in the running game in 2023, as he due to injuries he had to switch to Center, but his pass blocking was great which is more important and he was even better at OG in 2022.

7.243 SS/LB Hampton
Yeah, Hampton probably isn't falling this far, 6'2" 215lb very willing to come up and hit you. Very good in zone, not as good in man coverage. Should be great on STs.

7.251 LB Gant
Was on the Ohio St. team with Packers defensive coordinator, left Ohio State to get a chance to start and looked great at Toledo. Good in coverage.

Mucky Tundra (12h) : Houston getting dog walked by Baltimore
packerfanoutwest (18h) : Feliz Navidad!
Zero2Cool (22h) : Merry Christmas!
beast (25-Dec) : Merry Christmas 🎄🎁
beast (24-Dec) : Sounds like no serious injuries from the Saints game and Jacobs and Watson should play in the Vikings game
packerfanoutwest (24-Dec) : both games Watson missed, Packers won
Martha Careful (24-Dec) : I hope all of you have a Merry Christmas!
Mucky Tundra (24-Dec) : Oh I know about Jacobs, I just couldn't pass up an opportunity to mimic Zero lol
buckeyepackfan (24-Dec) : Jacobs was just sat down, Watson re-injured that knee that kept him out 1 game earlier
buckeyepackfan (24-Dec) : I needed .14 that's. .14 points for the whole 4th quarter to win and go to the SB. Lol
Mucky Tundra (24-Dec) : Jacobs gonna be OK???
Zero2Cool (24-Dec) : Watson gonna be OK???
packerfanoutwest (24-Dec) : Inactives tonight for the Pack: Alexander- knee Bullard - ankle Williams - quad Walker -ankle Monk Heath
packerfanoutwest (24-Dec) : No Jaire, but hopefully the front 7 destroys the line of scrimmage & forces Rattler into a few passes to McKinney.
packerfanoutwest (24-Dec) : minny could be #1 seed and the Lions #5 seed
Zero2Cool (23-Dec) : We'd have same Division and Conference records. Strength of schedule we edge them
Zero2Cool (23-Dec) : I just checked. What tie breaker?
bboystyle (23-Dec) : yes its possible but unlikely. If we do get the 5th, we face the NFCS winner
Zero2Cool (23-Dec) : Ahh, ok.
bboystyle (23-Dec) : yes due to tie breaker
Zero2Cool (23-Dec) : I mean, unlikely, yes, but mathematically, 5th is possible by what I'm reading.
Zero2Cool (23-Dec) : If Vikings lose out, Packers win out, Packers get 5th, right?
bboystyle (23-Dec) : Minny isnt going to lose out so 5th seed is out of the equation. We are playing for the 6th or 7th seed which makes no difference
Mucky Tundra (23-Dec) : beast, the ad revenue goes to the broadcast company but they gotta pay to air the game on their channel/network
beast (23-Dec) : If we win tonight the game is still relative in terms of 5th, 6th or 7th seed... win and it's 5th or 6th, lose and it's 6th or 7th
beast (23-Dec) : Mucky, I thought the ad revenue went to the broadcasting companies or the NFL, at least not directly
Zero2Cool (23-Dec) : I think the revenue share is moot, isn't it? That's the CBA an Salary Cap handling that.
bboystyle (23-Dec) : i mean game becomes irrelevant if we win tonight. Just a game where we are trying to play spoilers to Vikings chance at the #1 seed
Mucky Tundra (23-Dec) : beast, I would guess ad revenue from more eyes watching tv
Zero2Cool (23-Dec) : I would think it would hurt the home team because people would have to cancel last minute maybe? i dunno
beast (23-Dec) : I agree that it's BS for fans planning on going to the game. But how does it bring in more money? I'm guessing indirectly?
packerfanoutwest (23-Dec) : bs on flexing the game....they do it for the $$league$$, not the hometown fans
Zero2Cool (23-Dec) : I see what you did there Mucky
Zero2Cool (23-Dec) : dammit. 3:25pm
Zero2Cool (23-Dec) : Packers Vikings flexed to 3:35pm
Mucky Tundra (23-Dec) : Upon receiving the news about Luke Musgrave, I immediately fell to the ground
Mucky Tundra (23-Dec) : Yeah baby!
Zero2Cool (23-Dec) : LUKE MUSGRAVE PLAYING TONIGHT~!~~~~WOWHOAAOHAOAA yah
Zero2Cool (23-Dec) : I wanna kill new QB's ... blitz the crap out of them.
beast (23-Dec) : Barry seemed to get too conservative against new QBs, Hafley doesn't have that issue
Zero2Cool (23-Dec) : However, we seem to struggle vs new QB's
Zero2Cool (23-Dec) : Should be moot point, cuz Packers should win tonight.
packerfanoutwest (23-Dec) : ok I stand corrected
Zero2Cool (23-Dec) : Ok, yes, you are right. I see that now how they get 7th
Zero2Cool (23-Dec) : 5th - Packers win out, Vikings lose out. Maybe?
beast (23-Dec) : Saying no to the 6th lock.
beast (23-Dec) : No, with the Commanders beating the Eagles, Packers could have a good chance of 6th or 7th unless the win out
Zero2Cool (23-Dec) : I think if Packers win, they are locked 6th with chance for 5th.
beast (23-Dec) : But it doesn't matter, as the Packers win surely win one of their remaining games
beast (23-Dec) : This is not complex, just someone doesn't want to believe reality
