No trade ups. No trade backs.

1.25 J.C. Latham OT Alabama
Fell to us. We just won the 2024 draft if this came to fruition, imo

2.41 Payton Wilson LB NC State
We all know about the health concerns, but you have to take him here

2.58 Zach Frazier IOL West Va
"Drives opposition into the ground with every opportunity he gets." NFL analyst. Finalist for the Campbell award. aka "The academic Heisman" good to have someone smart at center.

3.88 Cole Bishop S Utah
Versatility. Sure tackler, can play both safety positions

3.91 Michael Hall Jr DL Ohio State
6'3 290, considered a little undersized, but 3rd in combine DT rankings for athleticism, Room to add mass

4.126 Cam Hart CB Notre Dame
Made a strong argument for being the most athletic cornerback in the draft at the combine. Very opportunistic. Big

5.169 Trevin Wallace LB Kentucky
Natural striker as a tackler. He is a closer, not a waiter. Great in the run game defense

6.202 Eric All TE Iowa
Injury issues allow him to be here. He could be our 3rd or a Gute induced H back, this time, one who can play

6.219 Jalyx Hunt Edge Houston Christian University
Small school athlete with potential to get bigger and stronger

7.245 Ryan Flourney WR Southeast Missouri State
Gotta take a WR for all the crazy people that do these mocks. 9.80 RAS He can haul ass

7.255 Joshua Karty K Stanford
He is a kicker with an actually solid college pedigree that does not know Rich B. to my knowledge. That instantly makes him draft worthy in my book.

In the second I think I took Tyler Nubin at S. I also looked at Javon Bullard.
The other second round pick was either Jackson Powers-Johnson or Zach Frazier. Everything gets blurred after a while.
I'm pretty sure I grabbed Edgerrin Cooper in the 3rd round.
I think Nate Wiggins was still available so I added him as a CB. If not perhaps it was Max Melton.
I took an EDGE in the middle rounds. Brennan Jackson was someone I considered.
A TE around the 5th. Jared Wiley might have been my pick.
In the later rounds I was looking at RB Isaiah Davis.

I was picking ST guys late I simply can't recall who anyone was outside of JC in the first.

Decided to try and swing for the fences and trade way up to make a splash in the top half the first round.

Green Bay Receives:
2024: Round 1, Pick 13
Las Vegas Receives:
2024: Round 1, Pick 25
2024: Round 2, Pick 58
2024: Round 6, Pick 202
Green Bay Receives:
2024: Round 3, Pick 98
2024: Round 6, Pick 178
Pittsburgh Receives:
2024: Round 3, Pick 91

13 Brock Bowers TE | Georgia
Was shooting for Quinyon Mitchell but he was gone. Went with Bowers over Alt and Murphy. Does GB need draft a TE in the 1st round? No. But would it be fun to watch? Absolutely!
41.Kingsley Suamataia OT | BYU
88. Jaden Hicks S | Washington State
I seemingly get Hicks every draft but damn it he's always available in the 3rd!
98. Andru Phillips CB | Kentucky
126.Sedrick Van Pran IOL | Georgia
169. Khristian Boyd DL | Northern Iowa
From Paup in 1991 to Boyd in 2024?
178. Rasheen Ali RB | Marshall
219. Ty'Ron Hopper LB | Missouri
245. Kamal Hadden CB | Tennessee
255. Trevor Keegan IOL | Michigan

For the next mock, I decided to try and mirror some of Gutes tendencies by looking at his draft history. Following rules were:
1. Whichever side of the ball Gute drafted the most in that round would get the nod. For example, since Gutes gone defense 7 times to 1 time for offense in the 1st, my first pick had to be defense.
2. Rounds with multiple picks would see the dominant side pick first then second
3. In the event of a tie between sides in a round, then I would take the overall pick and find the closets overall number from the past drafts and go with that side of the ball
4. In the event of a tie between sides in a round with multiple picks, I repeat the process in rule #3. Whichever pick had the smallest difference, that side of the ball would go first then the other.
5. No trades

25. Nate Wiggins CB | Clemson
41. Jordan Morgan OT | Arizona
Thanks to my self imposed rules, I miss out on Newton at 41. C'est la vie.
58. Tyler Nubin S | Minnesota
88. Jaylen Wright RB | Tennessee
91. Jeremiah Trotter Jr. LB | Clemson
Similar to Hicks, Trotter is always sitting there at the end of the 3rd round for me
126. Zak Zinter IOL | Michigan
Even after reading on the Packers Twittersphere, the predraft visit and doing other mocks, I thought his last name was Winter. Also, what kind of fucking spelling is that first name? Was it too hard for his parents to spell Zack or Zachary? Also, if GB does draft him I'm going to shorten his name to ZZ to go along with ZT. You have been warned.
169. Khristian Boyd DL | Northern Iowa
202. Sataoa Laumea IOL | Utah
219. Beau Brade S | Maryland
245. Chau Smith-Wade CB | Washington State
255. Trey Knox TE | South Carolina

After thinking long and hard about the tie breakers, I was pleasantly surprised to not need them. I was also surprised at how much Gute tended to tilt one way or another in each round. Outside of the 5th round, most of the rounds weren't even close. I thought the day 3 picks would be a lot more even. For those curious

1st: 7-1 defense
2nd: 6-1 offense
3rd: 5-1 offense
4th: 4-1 offense
5th: 5-4-1 defense
6th: 6-3-1 offense
7th: 9-5-1 defense

No trade up, no trade down. Consensus mock draft site. Grade given by them. This is my grab the fallen mock

25 J.C. Latham OT Alabama A+

41 Jackson Powers-Johnson IOL Oregon A+

58 Tyler Nubin S Minnesota A+

88 T'Vondre Sweat DL Texas A+

91 Blake Corum RB Michigan A+

126 Khyree Jackson CB Oregon A+

169 Tommy Eichenberg LB Ohio State A+

202 Marist Liufau LB Notre Dame B+

245 Ryan Flourney WR Southeast Missouri State A+

255 Trevor Keegan IOL Michigan B+

Keegan was the 2nd IOL taken, so the site will not give you a grade above B+ if it is the 2nd player taken at a position. Definitely an A+ at 255 by any other metric.

I miscalculated a little at LB. Should have picked sooner. They go so damn quick.

Not going into detail or descriptions because by now pretty much everyone playing this game knows who they are.

If you're a fan of Gutes drafts, then the 2025 Draft is going to be heaven for you as Gute has an extra 50 picks to work with. And if you want him gone after this draft then the new guy will have plenty to work with. The real winners will be all the Packers fans in attendance at the draft lol.

You got the long snapper from Wisconsin!

Good draft!

🤪

My final Mock for 2024...

One trade, and it is back, slightly.
Brad Holmes, GM of the Lions, has been drinking again, so we consummate this trade:

Detroit gets pick 58 2nd round

Green Bay gets pick 61 2nd round
pick 73 3rd round
pick 164 5th round
and a 7th round pick in 2025

25 J.C. Latham OT Alabama Mims was there, I'm still going with Latham. I don't like the odds of Gute standing pat and waiting for 25, but this is more of a what I would do draft than a what Gute will do mock, and I do recognize that there will likely be a huge run on OT's. Hopefully will remain pleased with us getting one I still like. Stay strong, Gute!

41 Jackson Powers Johnson IOL Oregon Draft noise about him is he is a bit of a prick. I choose to ignore that

61 Tyler Nubin S Minnesota I'm going with the still recovering theory regarding the RAS. Note I have lost nothing compared to my previous mocks by this trade back

73 Kamari Lassiter CB Georgia ... But man, looked what I gained by that trade. Great time to point out that draft capital is picks like this, not some imaginary oh well losing that pick crap for all the trader uppers, especially this year, imo

88 T'Vondre Sweat DL Texas Yay to a DUI and b.s. ing the scouts about his party history. Hell, this is fitting in with the crowd behavior in Wisconsin

91 Jaylen Wright RB Tennessee This is the area where Spencer Rattler is still on the board in most mocks, including this one. That would be an absolutely entertaining pick for not only us as fans, but media fodder for the rest of the offseason. I don't want the distraction. Gute can go apologize at Ted's grave site

126 Cedric Gray LB North Carolina I really like Payton Wilson, but he went early 2nd. I think Gray was a good get at 126

164 Tanor Bortolini IOL Wisconsin With this pick and the ones prior, I am very pleased with the options GB has moving forward on the offensive line

169 Luke McCaffrey WR Rice I predict great things for this young man. Work out mentor is Anquan Boldin. The more you look at this kid, the more you love about him

202 Jaylan Ford LB Texas Highly productive. Some strength issues. Reflective of where he is going draft pick wise

219 Xavier Thomas Edge Clemson Speed rusher with a really good rip move

245 Joshua Karty K Stanford This is the beauty of a small trade back, along with my next pick. Best Kicker prospect in the draft. Better than either our sophmore kicker or that Viking they brought in as competition. I don't see how bringing in a kicker with the same problems as the existing one except having proved he remains inconsistent after his rookie year is competition worth having, and thanks to my trade back I have a luxury 12th pick here to have a real competition. This kid is really good

255 Peter Bowden LS Wisconsin No scrambling for the phone brown nosing this kid to come to Green Bay as an UDFA. Someone waking up in mock draft world, as he was in the 500 range as a draft prospect about a month ago, now in the low 300's. While moving up that much is notable, it is also a testament to just how crazy it is to leave the consensus best long snapper in college off of draft boards.

That's my story, and I'm sticking to it, at least until 8 PM tonight, when it falls to shit because they have not consulted me.

Not my best work, but interesting still

Also a lot depends on the schemes were playing, which is still a mystery on Defense, but the DBs that I'm looking for could potentially total changes based on schemes.

Here I'm assuming an off-man zone scheme

Powers-Johnson can play both Center and OG.

Gute once talked about looking for the Safeties and Nickel Position to be completely interchangeable, if that's the goal, then Bullard and Taylor-Demerson are good fits as they're basically tweeners.

I know a lot of people see WR and say we don't need that, but Johnny Wilson is a WR/TE tweener and very well might be able to play an extremely similar role to that as TE Musgrave, just maybe less ability to deal with the DL power. But he's one of the best blocking WRs. Has TE size (though a bit light for actual TE).

Mucky Tundra (1h) : Houston getting dog walked by Baltimore
packerfanoutwest (7h) : Feliz Navidad!
Zero2Cool (11h) : Merry Christmas!
beast (20h) : Merry Christmas 🎄🎁
beast (24-Dec) : Sounds like no serious injuries from the Saints game and Jacobs and Watson should play in the Vikings game
packerfanoutwest (24-Dec) : both games Watson missed, Packers won
Martha Careful (24-Dec) : I hope all of you have a Merry Christmas!
Mucky Tundra (24-Dec) : Oh I know about Jacobs, I just couldn't pass up an opportunity to mimic Zero lol
buckeyepackfan (24-Dec) : Jacobs was just sat down, Watson re-injured that knee that kept him out 1 game earlier
buckeyepackfan (24-Dec) : I needed .14 that's. .14 points for the whole 4th quarter to win and go to the SB. Lol
Mucky Tundra (24-Dec) : Jacobs gonna be OK???
Zero2Cool (24-Dec) : Watson gonna be OK???
packerfanoutwest (24-Dec) : Inactives tonight for the Pack: Alexander- knee Bullard - ankle Williams - quad Walker -ankle Monk Heath
packerfanoutwest (24-Dec) : No Jaire, but hopefully the front 7 destroys the line of scrimmage & forces Rattler into a few passes to McKinney.
packerfanoutwest (24-Dec) : minny could be #1 seed and the Lions #5 seed
Zero2Cool (23-Dec) : We'd have same Division and Conference records. Strength of schedule we edge them
Zero2Cool (23-Dec) : I just checked. What tie breaker?
bboystyle (23-Dec) : yes its possible but unlikely. If we do get the 5th, we face the NFCS winner
Zero2Cool (23-Dec) : Ahh, ok.
bboystyle (23-Dec) : yes due to tie breaker
Zero2Cool (23-Dec) : I mean, unlikely, yes, but mathematically, 5th is possible by what I'm reading.
Zero2Cool (23-Dec) : If Vikings lose out, Packers win out, Packers get 5th, right?
bboystyle (23-Dec) : Minny isnt going to lose out so 5th seed is out of the equation. We are playing for the 6th or 7th seed which makes no difference
Mucky Tundra (23-Dec) : beast, the ad revenue goes to the broadcast company but they gotta pay to air the game on their channel/network
beast (23-Dec) : If we win tonight the game is still relative in terms of 5th, 6th or 7th seed... win and it's 5th or 6th, lose and it's 6th or 7th
beast (23-Dec) : Mucky, I thought the ad revenue went to the broadcasting companies or the NFL, at least not directly
Zero2Cool (23-Dec) : I think the revenue share is moot, isn't it? That's the CBA an Salary Cap handling that.
bboystyle (23-Dec) : i mean game becomes irrelevant if we win tonight. Just a game where we are trying to play spoilers to Vikings chance at the #1 seed
Mucky Tundra (23-Dec) : beast, I would guess ad revenue from more eyes watching tv
Zero2Cool (23-Dec) : I would think it would hurt the home team because people would have to cancel last minute maybe? i dunno
beast (23-Dec) : I agree that it's BS for fans planning on going to the game. But how does it bring in more money? I'm guessing indirectly?
packerfanoutwest (23-Dec) : bs on flexing the game....they do it for the $$league$$, not the hometown fans
Zero2Cool (23-Dec) : I see what you did there Mucky
Zero2Cool (23-Dec) : dammit. 3:25pm
Zero2Cool (23-Dec) : Packers Vikings flexed to 3:35pm
Mucky Tundra (23-Dec) : Upon receiving the news about Luke Musgrave, I immediately fell to the ground
Mucky Tundra (23-Dec) : Yeah baby!
Zero2Cool (23-Dec) : LUKE MUSGRAVE PLAYING TONIGHT~!~~~~WOWHOAAOHAOAA yah
Zero2Cool (23-Dec) : I wanna kill new QB's ... blitz the crap out of them.
beast (23-Dec) : Barry seemed to get too conservative against new QBs, Hafley doesn't have that issue
Zero2Cool (23-Dec) : However, we seem to struggle vs new QB's
Zero2Cool (23-Dec) : Should be moot point, cuz Packers should win tonight.
packerfanoutwest (23-Dec) : ok I stand corrected
Zero2Cool (23-Dec) : Ok, yes, you are right. I see that now how they get 7th
Zero2Cool (23-Dec) : 5th - Packers win out, Vikings lose out. Maybe?
beast (23-Dec) : Saying no to the 6th lock.
beast (23-Dec) : No, with the Commanders beating the Eagles, Packers could have a good chance of 6th or 7th unless the win out
Zero2Cool (23-Dec) : I think if Packers win, they are locked 6th with chance for 5th.
beast (23-Dec) : But it doesn't matter, as the Packers win surely win one of their remaining games
beast (23-Dec) : This is not complex, just someone doesn't want to believe reality
