When you look at the trade counter offer by the Colts, the drug accusations have far more credibility.

I think that RV he likes at the end of the field is stuffed with either crack, fentanyl or cranq.

It's the only semi-logical explanation for what is going on in Indianapolis.

According to The Indianapolis Star sports columnist Bob Kravitz, Irsay had an ongoing drug problem.[52] This was highlighted when it was later revealed that Irsay's mistress, Kimberly Wundrum, had overdosed and died in a house that Irsay controversially purchased with money belonging to the Indianapolis Colts.[53][54]

Irsay's daughter, Carlie, took over the day-to-day operations of the Colts while he was in rehab.[55]

Though there isn't much proven history, there are rumors his money (not nessarily him, but at least his money) were funding an entire small level drug ring, and they often through rock music parties, and he was very high on the local narcotics police watch list.

As he's gotten older, he's supposedly calmed down and mellowed out a bit. Still heavily into rock, but less so on the partying.

But the biggest issue I've seen is how he treats those whom have worked and themselves for him, almost treating the game like a game of Madden, and not understanding how players can be injured, and not respecting them after they've been injured.

I mean, Zero2Cool on Madden might treat Royce Newman or some other player he doesn't like better than Irsay has reportedly treated Peyton Manning and Andrew Luck after their injuries in real life. If he can't have respect for them, I hate to see how he treats his non-famous employees. Though maybe he treats them better because not as much is riding on them. But at times, it seems like to Irsay, Irsay's good time is clearly more important to him than the health of his employees that put their body on the line for him.

Then again, maybe majority of the owners feel that way and Irsay is just one of the few with the balls or guts to actually display it more openly.

Also just to be clear, Dan Snyder HAD to go!... I might be complaining about Irsay, but he doesn't have to go. He's a dick, he has the right to be a dick. Peyton Manning got out out there, took Luck a little longer, but he got out, and it might take an injured season, but Taylor will get out of there too. As far as I know, Irsay isn't doing illegal actives to others.

The trade did not happen. That the attempt was apparently made and is now public does have a negative impact on this team You or we may discount that. If Gute came in cheap and Irsay came in Crazy, what purpose did it serve other than Packer fans coming in and giving their opinion on the matter, making Gute answer myriad questions, along with Dillian and Jones.

What good is that?

Let's say we do trade for Taylor for Jones, for example

What if Taylor doesn't produce like you think he will.

How long you think Gute would be the GM of the Packers in that scenario?

As for how does this impact the team? You mean the GM trying to make the team better by adding a guy who ran for over 1,800 years over a season ago? And who is 24 years old?
How does that impact the team? Listen, if the GM trying to improve the roster and those players are reacting in a negative manner, then you got a team that lacks mental fortitude. And that is a HUGE problem. I mean, this isn't like a fiancé going on a date before the wedding. That would have a negative impact. This is the NFL, it's a business and the objective is to win a Super Bowl.

Any GM that doesn't explore the possibility of trading for one of the best rb's in the league is not doing his job.
The Colts gave Taylor permission to seek a trade..
Cots never have and still don't want to trade him..
That is why,if true, they countered with such an absurd option.
That is why Taylor is still on the PUP.

I can see why Taylor wants out, the fact is he has no leverage.

I get your passion on these kinds of subjects, always have.

Frankly, I don't like being the or one of the non-sychophant on the site, as you have a tendency to call into question the intelligence and football knowledge of those that disagree with you on a given subject.

I can deal.

Net.

I do net.

I don't like the inquiry.

Now we have to dick with the impact, including this ridiculous conversation that we will both go adhominem to whatever degree we want.

I guess it makes the day go.

Jason Wilde said the Packers made it clear to AJ Dillon that his 2022 wasn't good enough. What that means, your guess is as good as mine.

When I look at things, this is what I'm seeing.
RB1 is 28 years old and likely his last season with Packers. He took a pay cut which (my assumption) helped him remain with Packers.
RB2 is 25 years old and on the final year of his contract.

Taylor is 24 years old is gonna likely demand NFL RB1 money which is going to be $18m a year. The (my assumption) money here is what I can see someone bemoaning the trade interest.

Do I think it's obvious as heck you engage in talks about adding one of the top RB's in the league? Yes. I think it's a no-brainer, but that doesn't mean those who disagree are less intelligent or know football less. Hence why I ask questions for understanding. I might be steadfast in my opinion, but I want others to open my mind to something I'm naïve to.

That's why I say Taylor has no leverage.

The Colts can let him sit on the bench all year, and they still control him.

I'm not saying it's right, but it is what it is.

Colts said they would trade him in order to appease him. They are maintaining a price to high, because they don't want to trade him.

What this tells Dillon is, keep it in gear, kid.

Sounds like Gute is suggesting that he did not offer Dillon in any trade, he just talked to all teams about what they got in trade and some teams are using them for leverage...

And considering this doesn't really help the Packers, this doesn't really help the Colts with RB Taylor leverage, this doesn't really help RB Taylor (so not his agents doing)...

I honestly don't see how this rumor helps anyone except the Colts with the Media and taking pressure off of their decision makers.

Now the owner gets to brag they tried to trade him and couldn't find an offer worth his great amazing value, but at the same time, won't date pay him in terms of that same value.

Also, both sides of the trade could be crazily made a lot higher than actually happened. Like maybe the Packers just offered a future 3rd. The the false story added Dillon to it. And then the Colts just asked for a Dillon and a 1st OR WR Watson and then combined all three for the false story.

dfosterf (22-Jan) : Was that site shutdown on your end or mine? No big deal, just curious
beast (21-Jan) : That way teams like Indiana and SMU don't make the conference championships by simply avoiding all the other good teams in their own confere
beast (21-Jan) : Also, with these "Super Conferences" instead of a single conference champion, have 4 teams make a Conference playoffs.
beast (21-Jan) : Also in college football, is a bye week a good or bad thing?
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : The tournament format was fine. Seeding could use some work.
beast (21-Jan) : You can't assume Ohio State would of won the Michigan game...
beast (21-Jan) : Rankings were 1) Oregon 2) Georgia 3) Texas 4) Penn State 5) Notre Dame 6) Ohio State, none of the rest mattered
wpr (21-Jan) : Texas, ND and OSU would have been fighting for the final 2 slots.
wpr (21-Jan) : Oregon and Georgia were locks. Without the luxury of extra playoff berths, Ohios St would have been more focused on Michigan game.
wpr (21-Jan) : Zero, no. If there were only 4 teams Ohio State would have been one of them. Boise St and ASU would not have been selected.
Zero2Cool (21-Jan) : So that was 7 vs 8, that means in BCS they never would made it?
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : A great game. Give ND credit for coming back, although I am please with the outcome.

Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Ooooo that completion makes things VERY interesting
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Game not over yet
beast (21-Jan) : Oh yeah, Georgia starting quarterback season ending elbow injury
beast (21-Jan) : Sadly something happened to Georgia... they should be playing in this game against Ohio State
beast (21-Jan) : I thought Ohio State and Texas were both better than Notre Dame & Penn State
