Rebuilding is a horrible word? Why is it horrible? And why would it be given that context? Rebuilding means improving in the long term... which is positive if you're patient enough. ​​​​​​

2018: 82.9
2019: 76.5
2020: 89.4
2021: 74.7
2022: 53.4

I think there are two ways to look at this, if we look at the last 3 years, it looks like a clear and obvious decline. If we look at the last 5, 2022 seems like an outlier and I would assume he plays better in 2023. Having said that, it's unlikely he will regain his 2020/2018 form at this point.

My guess if if the Packers front office felt this team was a legitimate contender to go deep into the playoffs. They would have found a way.  I know "rebuild" is a horrible word, but I kinda feel the Packers are using 2023 as a growth year and hoping for the best. I don't think they're laying down by any means, but I think it's really trying to give those young guys opportunity to develop and grow.
