Wilson: Jets sign Nick Folk

The New York Jets have signed free agent kicker Nick Folk to a one-year contract.

The former Dallas Cowboys kicker takes the place of veteran Jay Feely, who's an unrestricted free agent.

Folk had a workout scheduled with the New York Giants.

However, he decided to take the Jets' offer now rather than try to play the two New York franchises against each other.

It's amazing that Feely never actually sticks on a roster. He's been a very solid kicker throughout his career. Always playing 2nd fiddle to the new guy coming in though, it seems.

He's 33 now, though, so that gives some justification, but he should, once again, be a great pick-up for a team with some kicking problems.
