Of course our leaders want us to panic. When we panic, they get to pass sweeping, draconian measures that give them much more power. Already the media is suggesting that the government might have to do that, as they have in Mexico.

For a disease that has killed 27 people worldwide!!!

Agreed.

So, 1000 people may die worldwide. 1000 people will die in about 10-11 days in car wrecks in the US alone.

Big freaking deal.

Have fun! :thumbright:

Mexico's a blast. Cheap booze. Topless beaches.

As for the flu, if you get it, eat right, drink lots of water, and get plenty of rest. You'll live.

Like I've said, you're more likely to get killed by a bad driver than the flu by probably a figure around 1000%.

Just be sure to bring lots of sunscreen.

If left un mitigated, it would be devastating. And the swine flu is much nastier than a regular flu. We have the ability to minimize the possibilites and we should.

It was my understanding that over 100 in Mexico have already died and it is now in more than 20 states in the US.

Population control at it's finest. And if unchecked millions could die as many nations don't have the medicine to handle it.

Me? Alcohol kills germs that cause swine flu so I am going to pony up to the bar and kill me some Swine.

By the way, my son sent me a funny text.

A distinguished gentleman once said that "If a black person gets elected president, pigs will fly. and as luck would have it, on Obama's 100th day, swine flu."

Sounds like a cheesey joke doesn't it?
