But yes, I hope that’s the case. I just don’t like the “brutal honesty” in this statement. I feel like he could’ve evaded the question without potentially offending Love.

I am really surprised there is not more discussion/conjecture on this point.  We just traded a HOF QB because the staff, the front office, and most important Nerdmann are all in on Love.

Do the Packers really want to lose negotiating leverage by not picking up the option?   How stupid would they feel if he had a great year and they had not either re-negotiated or taken the option.

If we can't sign the guy to an extension NOW, I am taking the option if I am Gutey.
