Super Sunday’s Sunday Splash! reports included an item from Ian Rapoport of NFL Media that Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers planned to start his voluntary solitary confinement on Monday.

It didn’t happen. As evidenced by the fact that Rodgers was in the daylight on Tuesday, doing his weekly paid spot with Pat McAfee and former Green Bay teammate A.J. Hawk. Rodgers took some time to call out those who have, in his view, reported erroneous facts about him.

“There’s an inner circle and in my inner circle, nobody talks to Ian Rapoport [or] Adam Schefter or to any of those people,” Rodgers said, via Chris Mason of MassLive.com. “Just stop with the fake news. I speak for myself and I will continue to do that.

“I have no problem with Ian Rapoport, [Adam] Schefter, I think they’re really good at their jobs. When it comes to me, they don’t know shit. They really don’t. They don’t have people in my inner circle who are sources. I can promise you that. Anybody who would talk to them is not in my inner circle. It’s that simple. So I’ve had this plan on the books for four months, for the same time. When someone like that goes on and says something that’s not true it creates a story that’s [expletive].” (Usually, the expletive is obvious, and we’ll add the actual word. For this one, I’d just be guessing from three or four possible choices.)

I happened to walk into a business that I insure just as AR was saying this. I just started laughing.

I turned to the kid who was running the store and said that it is so obvious I don't know why any ot his so called breaking news is being discussed. The team who has a player who ASKS to be traded will listen to offers. He said except Mahomes. I said no even KC will listen to trade offers. They may want 6 #1 picks in return and if they don't get that, no trade.

Ian or Adam or whoever acted like it was a big deal that the Packers would actually listen to offers IF Aaron asked to be traded. They made it sound like it was a done deal and he has already bought a condo in Manhattan.

For several years Rodgers has made it plain that these media guys don't know a thing about him and yet they keep trying to scoop the world with their non-breaking breaking news. I am sure Aaron's comments have them pouting and plotting how to get even with him.

Only true media sycophants would play along with a player's manipulation of his team by starting loud rumors right at the beginning of the draft and screeching media bombardment throughout the spring for two years in a row, then allow that same player to blast them as unreliable like this.

Therefore none of that probly even happened. Right?

Based on Rodgers comments, I believe, that he feels, that he knows if he continues playing, the Packers will trade him or Jordan Loves, and that Rodgers believes the Packers will keep the young guy.

I'm not saying Rodgers is right, but that's what I believe he feels.

I think the "IF Aaron ask" bit is just the Packers trying to drive up the trade price AND for PR reasons, like this is only IF he wants to do it...

I haven't seen where Andrew Brandt said this, but someone claimed Brandt said he believes Rodgers and the Packers already know the plan should Rodgers decided to keep playing. Which he guessed would be work together to find the right team to trade him to.

Which I personally believe will be the Raiders. Raiders didn't commit to getting rid of Derek Carr for no reason... clearly they're making a bold gamble to find someone they know is a for sure improvement...

I believe their original target was Tom Brady, based on their head coach connection to Brady and the fact that the owner extremely wanted Brady that last time he was a FA but Jon Gruden basically overruled the idea.

But Rodgers is the only great backup option for someone that elite...

And reconnecting with WR Adams and coaches Edgar Bennett (WR), Jason Simmons (DB), and Patrick Graham (DC).

Plus, no state income tax in Nevada vs 10.75% income tax rate in NJ for amounts over $5 million. Considering Rodgers is scheduled to make over $30 million... could save a couple of million per year just by going to Raiders instead of Jets.

Also...
Though, I'm assuming that's a prank... as his source could be WR Davante Adams. But whom knows, it might be Rodgers (though I doubt it).

Also, I think Rodgers will be a football coach in the future. Though based on Rodgers comments, it'll probably be at the junior college level or lower (highschool)... somewhere that it can be fun and not TOO serious... and just help young guys and be around football.

It somewhat feels like both the Packers and Rodgers are reluctant on being the one to present trade as an option.

As for the income tax thing. I don't think anyone truly hates paying taxes - I mean, yeah, we all want every penny we earn, but I think most get it. I do feel everyone hates how misappropriated that money is spent. In other words, I think most rational people understand pitching in a share, but I think everyone feels the money is allocated improperly.
