#Packers S Sean Richardson, who underwent cervical spinal fusion, was cleared today by Dr Robert Watkins for on-field non-contact activities

Ian also tweeted this, but then deleted it.
Sean Richardson is determined to play again. Dr. Watkins said his neck is healing perfectly & should be 100% in 2 months. Teams are watching

What is on field non contact?
It's football. If you are out on the field expect contact.

I like Sean Richardson, but two neck injuries in four years isn't a good track record, nor is playing six or less games in three of your four NFL seasons, playing in 30 of his first 64 possible games. If the doctors clear him, then I might offer him minimum salary but wouldn't offer too much more, unless it's in a playing time or probably bonus, where he'll have to earn it.

That what I thought last time, but I guess the neck injury was further down on his spine and therefore less risky than the other Packers players who have had neck injuries, and therefore allowed Richardson to return. I'm not sure about the current neck injury.
