Come. ON!!

The #Packers are dug in and so is QB Aaron Rodgers. Remember, Rodgers' agent Dave Dunn helped Carson Palmer shoot his way out of Cincy... even if it took a while. Perhaps a similar game plan, stay tuned for the results. If Aaron Rodgers retires (to host Jeopardy or just retire), he would have to repay the team $11.5M this year and $11.5M if he remains retired next year — all from his signing bonus. Unless the situation is repaired to his liking, this is a serious consideration, I’m told.

Aaron's last leverage against the team. He knows if he retires they won't get anything in a trade. (They could trade his rights, but they would likely not get much, or as much.)

I love this move by Gutey. Let Aaron sit out then. Play football for us, or go home.

Aaron had a shit fit to get Ted fired. Then he got Mike fired. Then he demanded this huge contract, essentially handcuffing the team from dealing him. None of that ended up giving him what he wanted. This is his last leverage.

Gutey knows Aaron wants to play. Dude wants more stats. More yards, more TDs he wants to move up in the record books. In other words, Gutey knows Aaron is bluffing.

We could get a Lawrence Welk type deal for Aaron. But Gutey won't do it. He wants Aaron for one more year. Stick to your guns, Gutey! You got him.

Imagine Aaron at home, watching this team win with Jordan Love.

Remember, Matt had RG3 ready his rookie year. Played awesome too, and has done nothing since.

Matt and Gutey aren't gonna give up and cry like little girls if Aaron walks away. After a certain point, they'll wish he would.

I’m tired of this drama already.
Rodgers could start the season, then fake an injury and collect his pay.
Or play like crap on purpose, get Love put in and collect his pay.
I don’t see him playing for the Packers, and trying to play at a high level. If he doesn’t get what he wants, why would he?
The way he’s acting, I wouldn’t put it past him.
He’s under contract, getting a boat load of money, and could just shut his big mouth and play out his contract and then go where he wants. He signed the deal. No one forced him.
Man up!
Or go ahead and retire.
That’s how I feel about it right now.

Speaking generally here...

The way he's acting? This is why I dislike how social media is used. He's acting like he's going to the horse derby. How awful if him!

Shut his big mouth? What's he said? Last we heard from him, wait, do you remember what he said just a month ago? Nope. We're prisoners of the moment. And now some (not you Alan) are demanding Rodgers say something to quell the noise when it seems everyone forgot what the man said last month!!

The media is horseshit. And now regardless of the reports accuracy, damage has been done in many fans eyes. It's deplorable. Guilty until people feel damn well ready to allow innocence.

When you are a “superstar”, you KNOW that your life is open to the public. Like it or not.
If what is being said about him is a bunch of made up crap, then he could come out and make a statement otherwise.
That is if he cares about how he is being perceived.
He gets paid millions of dollars every year, and part of that pay is that the media is going to go over everything you do to try to scoop a story.
And with today’s computers, it comes out faster then the speed of light.
I don’t know what he thinks, or even what he really said. But it’s obvious there has to be some truth to the story. Otherwise why would Packer brass even say they are trying to work through things with him? If there was nothing to it, they could just say so.
