Dont pick a WR in the first round; even thou we have 2 picks. We dont pick an elite WR in the F.A.
and yet all off-season I was hearing from the media outlets is how the WRs we have will be great.
I think this was most annoying - so n so was great in college or great on another team ... so therefore they will be great now.
We all know rodgers takes time to get in the rhythm with a receiver.

Ok we didnt have our starting tackles nor lazard (whom I actually really like) ... but still.

I dont blame the D; although I didnt like that we got rid of Z smith. Heck I just watched the raiders game also and they did pretty well vs the chargers with bosa and mack.

Not too bad all negative - I like Dillon and Aarons play.

(I was holding my tongue till I could actually see how rodgers and the new WRs could play) ... I hope the future games are a bit more exciting then what I just watched.

Glad Watson came back and had some legit receptions.

What "elite" WR were available in free agency? What did they sign for and how does that fit into the Packers salary cap? The Packers did pick up Sammy Watkins so we'll have to see how he blends in with the offense.
The Packers did NOT let 3 of their 4 top WR go. Davante Adams CHOSE to play with the Raiders and his best-friend, D. Carr, even though Packers offered him MORE money than the Raiders. This was CONFIRMED by Davante himself.
The Chiefs overpaid for Marques Valdes-Scantling and if Packers matched it, we'd be bashing them for that decision.
Whomever you're thinking is the third of the top four WR has me confused. Adams, Lazard, MVS and Cobb were the top four in my mind.

If you were being told via the media that the WR's will be great, what do you have to say they won't be? You're gonna really just start bashing them over one awful showing? I follow the Packers quiet intently and the consensus I heard was the WR have great potential, but to expect growing pains. Which can be said for any rookie. I mean, expecting rookies to put up 125 yards out of the gate is absurd for us fans to demand.

Weren't reports on Z. Smith the Packers approached him with an extension that would soften his 2022 cap number and balked and they had to release him? Or we just gonna go with the Packers "got rid" of him?

Frustrating game FOR SURE, but this over reaction stuff is just exhausting. I mean. We have sixteen more games. Let's give this team a chance to rebound before we put the nails in the coffin. Although, if they lose to the Bears AT HOME, I might be jumping in on the over reaction parade!! 🤣🤣🤣

Really the no WR in the first round is really old... Packers traded up two 2nd round picks for a 1st round value...

Would it really make any difference if we picked Watson at #31 vs #34?

Also we didn't let MVS go, he choose to sign elsewhere...

And we didn't lose Lazard and Cobb...

I assume you mean St. Brown, but was he in the top 5? He wasn't in the top 4.

Well the packers had choices of where to spend their money and they didnt spend it on Z smith (he has been my favorite pash rusher since clay matthews in his prime).

at least Mack isnt playing for the bears anymore -

As for Davante, we dropped his cap hit, like we're gonna do when we trade Bakhtiari in the offseason.

Of the 7 (?) WRs taken before Christian Watson, 2 (!) had clearly better days. Drake London, 5 receptions for 75 yds, and Jahan Dotson, 40 yds and 2 tds. Of those two guys, barely anyone had Dotson going before Watson, and I like Watsons upside more than both.

Basically, no one has proven waiting to take Watson in the 2nd was the wrong move, and that's not even factoring in the players we got, in the first, in ADDITION to Watson.

Had Watson caught that first pass, he would have had the best first game of the WRs.
(I wish he would have caught it)
That might mentally mess him up until he can actually make a big play.

EQ and MVS were inconsistent at best, and not very good overall...they just weren't.

Watson could be good, although fundamentally his hand deployments was 5th grade level.. He should know by now pinkies need to be touching at the fingers when forward and diamond with fingers and thumbs when facing the QB.

Doubs (sp) looks like he could be good. I think they will be ok once Watson settles down, and Lazard is back. Cobb a good #4, anything from Rogers and Watkins a bonus. Good to see Tonyan back.

O line was the biggest issue of the game. MLF needed to run more and didn't...poor play calling. it was working and he did not stick with it.

Defense waiting a half before adjusting on Jefferson is inexcusable.
Go Packers!!!!
