There's been some rumblings about a few WR's who are not attending VOLUNTARY workouts with hopes of getting a new contract.
Deebo Samuel 36th overall
AJ Brown 51st overall
DK Metcalf 64th overall
Terry McLaurin 76th overall
Are you noticing a trend? All were drafted 2nd or 3rd round. Why would a team pay them top dollar in a draft that is said to be heavy with WR talent?
Someone on Tweeter said, "Deebo, McLaurin, Metcalf, & AJ Brown all getting drafted after first round in 2019 and wanting new deals at same time hurts them in sense that some teams will do math and think āweāll just draft oneā."
I have to agree with that.
In other words Packers fans, we will not be trading for one of the aforementioned WR's and if we don't draft one in round one, fret not, there's good pickings in round two and three.
