Day 1 talent but Day 3 polish

Though, I think there is always some reason to be nervous or cautious when an elite physical talent hasn't polished up their game much at the college level, especially if they've been playing the same polish the entire time.

I worry about if they care about the details and polishing up their game or not.

It's like WR Kadarius Toney, physical talent wise, I'm not sure I've seen another exactly like him, basically having tiny returners joystick video game like movement skills, but being average sized, he has Hall of Fame physical potential, but of all his years in college and in the NFL, he only has one good season. I assume it's because it's not his passion, he just shows up and is naturally great at it.

Or to use a different type of example, after the Packers drafted DT Kenny Clark, I believe they traded up (to get in front of the Bears) and drafted OT Jason Spriggs.

I believe Spriggs was a 4 year starter, and his first year starting, you're like this guy is clearly a future 1st round pick... but then watch him in year 4, and it's almost like he's the exact same guy. 4 years starting, and there was almost no growth between year 1 and year 4, is concerning.

And I'm not saying I know why these guys have failed to develop (well Toney mostly focused on buildings rap career, which was surprisingly more successful than most athlete's rap career), but just mainly pointing out those things need to be investigated as to why they didn't develop more polish.

And then again, you got others like Sam Shields, who was mainly at WR his entire college career, and then he thanked the Packers CB coach for showing him film, and seemed to suggest that his college CB coach didn't do that. But he probably meant how he did it or something.

I didn't think James Jones had that many drops to start with, but more so that they were with the game on the line and perfectly wrong time.

But yes, some others have had drops issues and fixed them.

But J'Mon Moore never could catch a cold skinny dipping in the frozen winter...

Wicks had major drop issues in college and the Pros.

At this point, he's a more a weapon/gadget guy you're gonna have to scheme touches for and hope the improvements at receiving coming later.

1. Davante Adams’ drop percentages for the first three years of his NFL career, based on the most consistent data, are:
- 2014: ~6.1% (4 drops, 66 targets)
- 2015: ~10.6% (10 drops, 94 targets)
- 2016: ~7.4% (9 drops, 121 targets)
- Overall (2014–2016): ~8.2% (23 drops, 281 targets)
Note: Some sources report higher percentages (9.5%, 16.7%, 10.7% for 2014–2016,

2. it is unrealistic to think that Doubs concussion problems will suddenly go away. They have to plan to move on.
Go Packers!!!!
