Vikings | Some within organization pushing to draft Harvin

Steve Wyche, of NFL.com, reports the Minnesota Vikings are seriously intrigued by Florida WR Percy Harvin. Some people within the organization are pushing for them to select him in the first-round, where they pick No. 22 overall. However, Harvin may be off the board before Minnesota is on the clock.

I don't think i would like Harvin on the fake grass.
Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be šŸ™‚ (PS, Zero should charge for this)

It is a good pick for them... a hybrid. He can do a lot of things. Hopefully, we can stop all those things. šŸ™‚
Circular Arguments: They are a heck of an annoyance

a good pick for them? i was laughing my arse off at this one. perhaps a qb to throw to this "hybrid" wr would be a bigger need...but maybe that's just me. lol.

I find it interesting that they passed on Oher with this pick and then take Loadholt in the second. I would've jumped on Oher, I think. He was falling way to far.

The thing I noticed about Percy's highlights is that defences were playing off 10 yards from the line of scrimmage on him. Well Percy please meet Mr. Harris who will kick your ass at the line of scrimmage. Good pick Chilly.

Loadholt looks to be a roadgrader, but something tells me he will have a lot of trouble against speed rushers, but then again, the Vikings hand the ball off 70% of the time anyway.

Hazer.......not to derail your thread, but i couldn't help but notice your sig,
"Ok i'm keeping the Crabtree on my sig, so everyone remembers what the ******* Ted Thompson did in this years draft. I am very close to being a bandwagon Lions fan."

Does this mean that you don't think the Packers picking Raji made more sense?
We are loaded at WR, and VERY weak on the D-line. It was the D that cost us all last year.
Is it your true feelings, or just "grabbing at straws" to keep your Ted Thompson hatred alive and well?
What if Crabtree turns out to be a bust, and Raji does well? Will you give Ted Thompson props for making the right pick, or will you just forget about the sig you put up?
Just wondering is all.

It would be stupid to have drafted Crabtree.. We did not have problems scoring last year our wide outs are just fine how they are.

If anyone thinks we should have taken Crabtree, they are simply ... (fill in the blank)

What is our strongest position? WR.
Use the 9th selection for that position when we have an opportunity to get a stud NT which is a glaring NEED as well?

What would you rather have. A bust at WR that high or NT? Personally, NT because at least we TRIED to improve a need where as a bust at WR that high is just complete IGNORANCE.

This whole 'we should have taken Crabtree' is freaking stupid. Think about it. I mean hell yes I'd love for us to have gotten him and he turn out to be a stud and we rack up 40 on every team. The chances of that happening are very VERY slim.

NT = need
WR = strength

Use some freaking common sense.

Raji tested positive for pot smoking in college, and now people are saying he won't do that hmmmm. Let's see a i think your right he didn't have the money in college for the good stuff he does now. So when Raji is suspended and holding down the bench with Harrell and Crabtree is in Pro Bowls then will you change your mind? But back on topic you guys make fun of the Vikings pick but i'll tell you what when they line up on offense now and harvin goes in motion you don't think the defense will be wondering who to go after Harvin or AP. Also now your talking that they will use them on ST and they will have alot better than us. I know the goggles are on and everyone else sucked at the draft and the almighty Ted Thompson was great i mean hell take a fat guy for the middle and then throw 3 picks away for a LB which there were plenty of.

Cheesey my siggy will stay up there all year and watch the numbers that go up with a shitty qb and then think of what he would have been with your savior at qb?

I will admit to one thing. I would be just as pissy about this draft as you are if we had taken Crabtree over Raji.

I certainly understand the passion involved, and neither one of us knows what the future holds. Actually, no one does. I would have been pleased to be wrong about Crabtree if we had taken him, and I suspect that you will be the same if you are wrong about Raji.
