"He knew some people would disagree with him, but he didn't know that it would become the s---storm it became. People who he thought were friends are turning on him,"

Aaron Rodgers notably doesn’t like to be criticized. That is certainly something he might have wanted to have considered before he went on a national show and discussed the reasons he was unvaccinated, why he’d lied about it before testing positive for COVID-19, blamed the “woke mob,” and said he was taking medical advice from Joe Rogan.

Rodgers has been criticized in just about every way possible, from social media to NFL talking heads to the NFL itself the scientific community to Saturday Night Live. And it turns out, according to People, he’s not that thrilled about it.

According to a People Magazine source, Rodgers, who hasn’t spoken publicly since his appearance on The Pat McAfee Show, “feels like he just shared his point of view, and now he’s being crucified for it.” The self-proclaimed critical thinker isn’t a huge fan of any critical thought directed his way.

“He knew some people would disagree with him, but he didn’t know that it would become the s—storm it became. People who he thought were friends are turning on him,” People’s source said. “He’s upset. He’s very unhappy with the response to him.”

It’s hard to know what Rodgers expected to happen when he used his massive platform and status as an NFL star to spout anti-vaccine talking points in the middle of a pandemic that has claimed over 750,000 American lives. But, given that he already pre-blamed “cancel culture” for the reaction, we’re sure we’ll hear more about that the next time he speaks.

Rodgers is expected to be back with the Green Bay Packers on Saturday to potentially play for them against the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday. It’s unknown when he’ll speak to reporters or make public statements before then.

Oh come on Aaron. There are people just seething at the mouth waiting to pounce on anything COVID-19 to show how moral their high horse stands. It's why you said you were "immunized" instead of saying you weren't vaccinated.

It is shitty that some of his friends are turning on him for having a different opinion and doing what he felt was best for his body.

Yeah this just feels like a hit piece, I mean do they truely have some sort of insider on Rodgers thoughts?

Based on what we've heard, everyone inside the building knew already. And he's claiming to be allergic to two of the three shots, and honestly I'm trusting Johnson & Johnson less and less as they seem to be having more errors and as Rodgers said, their shot got out on hold for extra blood clotting.

So other than his one word answer, which one could call a lie to avoid dealing with the media, then there isn't much to criticize Rodgers on.

I guess another point was stating his opinion of the NFL stance that vaccinated people don't get it, which I think the timing of telling that story was piss poor, as he should wait until after the NFL does their investigation and hands out potential fines... unless he has 100% proof (well even then I'd suggest to wait until after the investigation).

But unless he's talking about that, or former teammates, I can't see how anyone is really turning on him on anything...

Unless he others are becoming like KGB and too many blows to the head and going nuts... but that's a different story.

I wonder how Rodgers state of mind (pissed off) will affect his play in the second half of the season?
Perhaps the latest chip that has landed on his shoulder will propel himself and the Packers to greater heights.
At least we can hope that is the case.

Hey, PFT posted another Rodgers hit job, but even they had to claim this one was false...

Aaron Rodgers broke COVID quarantine and went to California on Monday! Unless he didn’t.

And he definitely didn’t.

An item from the Daily Mail claims that Rodgers was spotted in California on Monday. That would be a blatant violation of the NFL’s COVID protocol for unvaccinated players who have tested positive.

But it wasn’t him. The photos, even with the person in them wearing a mask, didn’t really look like him. (Maybe it was Pete Davidson.)

Johnny Cochran might say, "If he is surprised, he is not wise." Aaron is very obviously an intelligent man, but he very badly miscalculated what I perceive as a well-planned response plan to that inevitable question regarding his vaccination status. I think just about everyone here could have come up with a better response than the bullshit he did, and I also believe that most here would not have thought that insulting the league was a great plan, either.

All that notwithstanding, assuming there is a lot of truth in his subsequent interview, his bs and conduct is not a high crime or misdemeanor in either the NFL or Covid19 prevention world. Assuming he was tested daily...insert his rationale here...

It sure looks like a mob mentality gang-up, with the woke, cancel culture, holier-than-thou wordsmiths, and click-bait assholes all congealing into a massive "gotcha" that I find sickeningly reflective of how we roll as a collective society-or lack thereof, if you will.

I said right away when this news broke he shouldn't have lied. I do understand possibly more than most a rationale for doing so, and just wish he didn't suck at it so bad, as evidenced by the resulting shit-storm.

The NFL is going to have to answer for their culpability in this as well. They have been giving a pass to him and others regarding masks at these press conferences. I predict that dick Florio will go after Cousins and others after the punishment is imposed on Rodgers and GB. He has extraordinary slimy asshole manipulative skills that make your ham and eager ambulance chasing lawyer cross his arms in awe.

I mostly worry that Aaron is just going to throw his hands up in frustration and retire. If, for example, he announced he was retiring today, I would not be surprised. Deeply saddened, but not surprised.

Aaron Rodgers response was fine. It's people being belligerent and taking his words out of context that are the problem. When you give 47 minutes of talking though, it should be expected people are going to show their clown nature.

Rodgers stated he is allergic to two of the vaccines and third one is having issues and didn't feel comfortable with it. He stated he wants to be a father and the vaccine could affect that (no idea on that one), but I respect his concern. He talked to a lot of people (based on what he said), told the NFL and NFLPA of his concerns and they made him feel like he was a "quack".

If we can't respect someone's opinion because it differs from ours, that's on us, not the person with the different opinion. He even said he did what was best for him, and that it wasn't best for everyone.

The man did his due diligence, far more than most of you have and made a decision based off what he discovered. If we can't respect that, then we're all severely fucked.

Personally, I would have retired since two vaccines pose an allergy issue and I wouldn't want to get others infected.
