The national media is going to have a blast with this.

Just checking, when he told the media he was covered was before the NFL rejected his claim right? That's at least my understanding.

So did the NFL provide an answer of what to do with pending players?

Also did unvaccinated players have to do all conference calls from Zoom or was that just something the Packers decided?

Did all unvaccinated players have to where a mask at their I'm person press conferences? And did Rodgers wear a mask on the sidelines?

I think Rodgers might of made a mistake, but I don't think the media has been able to 100% prove it with video replay yet!

I doubt it, it was never brought up as an issue, and he probably assumed he was covered by what he did, and didn't realize it was an issue until they started rejecting it, which might not of been until after he was back with the team, as the NFL doesn't care about someone status whom isn't with a team.

It's not legalese at all when his response to being asked if he was vaccinated starts off with "Yeah, ...". That's flat out lying.

The astonishing part of all this is his finance's quotes from Flaunt magazine stating "I make my own medicines; I don't get those from doctors". That is WILD.

What Aaron has done here isn't "mislead the public" bad, it's being a flat out liar who may legit be anti-vax. The dude may literally be a stone's throw from "the earth is flat" in his personal beliefs ... which is not what I would've started this day believing.

Heck of a football player. Definitely harder for him to argue that the Packers haven't been willing to bend over backward for him given what has come out today (and we're barely into the afternoon in Central time zones).

Guys like him, Mike Florio and Bill Simmons who just lick their chops any time they can slight Rodgers is disturbing.

Bill Simmons chimes in.

I've listened to some of his podcasts here and there since he started the Ringer and it's obvious that outside of reading some big headlines, he really doesn't do as much homework on the NFL like he did at ESPN since he's busy with NBA stuff. That said, Rodgers isn't innocent here either.

And Simmons complaining about how any take in sports is instantly labeled as being a hater is rich considering the number of times he went overboard while at ESPN that went well behind "a Boston sports homer who thinks he knows it all." Case in point: Simmons in 2014 for his Friday football picks article before the Packers-Patriots game he spent the entire column trashing GB since the line for the game opened at -3 (nothing out of the ordinary for his column and in line with his gimmick). Where Simmons went overboard was insinuating that Favre was on steroids by pointing out how pudgy and large Favres head was during his early years compared to later on (similar to how he lampooned guys like Barry Bonds and Jason Giambi in years past). This might be an interesting take if you know, Favre didn't struggle with alcohol and substance abuse during his early years in the league and openly talk about it.

  • What exactly does the "NFL is going to be sued" have anything to do with the immediately pressing matter that Aaron Rodgers is prevented from playing this Sunday against the Chiefs, and possibly also next week against the Seahawks, due to NFL protocol? The NFL, as a private company, is well within its rights to establish protocols that its personnel have to abide by -- irrespective of the scientific validity of such protocols - and impose measures on its personnel if such protocols are violated.
  • Pray tell who and on what basis is going to sue the NFL? Aaron Rodgers? Surely some other player who has been caught up in the COVID protocols would've already sued. Alternatively, if Aaron was going to sue, surely he isn't biding his time to sue (I believe unvaccinated players lose out on game checks, so Aaron is certainly financially incentivized to not delay filing suit). It's empowering to suggest/threaten lawsuits when you feel a grave injustice is being done -- but it is not so simple because there has to be an established reason to sue (in other words, you have to have a reason for suing someone that the law recognizes as valid). Simply suggesting a lawsuit is coming in connection with the NFL's COVID protocols ... isn't only wrong, it's entirely misleading in that it falsely suggests Aaron Rodgers has been aggrieved legally.
