Ah yes, I remember the game. It was Barry's "greatest" game. I was thrilled but still couldn't believe it.

Weather you extol a great past player like Barry Sanders, or Jim Brown, or Walter Payton, or Paul Horning, team affiliations are second to the players talent. You could hate the Colts/Broncos, but still you must respect the playing carrier of Payton Manning.

Today the Packers compete against teams with players that I respect. Russel Wilson, Drew Brees, "Big" Ben Roethlisberger, and even Tom Brady. You don't have to like anyone personally, but their on the field deeds have earned them their deserved respect.

Why should it matter if someone pulls up an old thread that recalls a past great player. Who appointed anyone the right to judge such a thing. Go examine your own self before you start throwing mud at another.

I donā€™t get it.....where were the ā€œnasty slangā€ or ā€œgutter languageā€?

I thought it was all in fun. Nothing nasty.
I respect the heck out of Barry Sanders. He was always a class act. He didnā€™t show boat when he made a big play, like so many players do. It was amazing how in one game the Packers were able to actually stop him. Had the Lions had any other offense, they wouldnā€™t have been able to key on Sanders like that. I still have Sanders Score rookie card that I pulled out of a pack of cards.

Turns out he was gonna give them to me when I turned 18, but they were stolen by a family member and pawned off. So, I just have my '89 Pro Set Rookie of Barry.

Zero2Cool (17m) : Per his dad
Zero2Cool (17m) : Watson to have his surgery soon, and should be back around Week 12, with a normal rehab.
beast (1h) : More likely to listen if the guy controlling the ball is the one telling them
beast (1h) : Apparently because players aren't doing the small things when the coaches tell them, and LaFleur believes they're more likely
Zero2Cool (3h) : Jordan isn't a vocal guy. Why not let him lead his way?
Zero2Cool (4h) : I'm not sure it ever bodes well when you have to tell your team leader to be more vocal.
Zero2Cool (4h) : CFL. Nice.
packerfanoutwest (17h) : good luck with that
packerfanoutwest (17h) : Matt LaFleur looking for Jordan Love to be more of a vocal leader

Martha Careful (14-Jan) : Why is it that the Rams rookies can contribute right away but our first and second year guys are too young to contribute in a meaningful way
Martha Careful (14-Jan) : Yes, Saquon Barkley had a very nice game. But he has a much better offensive line in front of him. I'll take Josh Jacob's. I love the guy

Zero2Cool (13-Jan) : Mike McCarthy is out as Cowboys coach
