That’s the problem with today’s “media”. Everyone wants to be first with the “scoop”, so they throw away any real reporting just to try to one up on their competition.
With computers, if you wait for anything to be verified, you will be the 1000th person to report anything.
And with the attention span (short) of people today, if the media screws it up, the people will forget about it and move onto the next big story by the next day.
So there is very little accountability for the reporter.
At least that’s how I see it.
